Orlando Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu has been suspended 20 games without pay after testing positive for methenolone, which is a type of steroid in the NBA's anti-drug program.  Both Turkoglu and the Magic released statements about the positive test. Turkoglu: "While I was back home in Turkey this past summer, I was given a medication by my trainer to help recover more quickly from a shoulder injury.  I didn't know that this was a banned substance and didn't check before taking it. I take full responsibility for anything that goes into my body. This was a complete error in judgment on my part and I apologize to the Orlando Magic organization, the league, my teammates, and the Magic fans. I know I have let down a lot of people and I am truly sorry for my mistake." Rob Hennigan, Orlando Magic General Manager: "Hedo unknowingly took a banned substance. There are more than 125 banned substances on the NBA List, and we spend a lot of time educating our pl...

Magic rumors: Orlando not actively shopping J.J. Redick

Leading up to this month’s NBA trade deadline, it appeared all but a sure bet that the Orlando Magic would trade J.J. Redick. While it’s been reported that multiple teams, including the Chicago Bull, Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics, are interest in Redick, the Magic have told the sharpshooter that they’re not “actively trying to move” him, reports Josh...

A video history of the Magic at All-Star Weekend

The NBA has hit its All-Star Weekend! Hard to believe that the game was in Orlando just a short year ago. Stan Van Gundy was on a CNN panel for some reason

Donny Deutsch guest hosted for Piers Morgan last night on CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight for your basic run-of-the-mill primetime cable news show.  There are few more loathesome things on television than primetime cable news, except for possibly Toddlers & Tiaras and First Take.  In fact, primetime cable news is pretty much everything terrible about everything on television...

NBA surprises heading into the All-Star Break

The All-Star break does not completely split the season in half. In terms of games. We are past the midpoint, but it is still a good opportunity to take a look back on what we have seen so far this year. Here are some of the more interesting storylines that have stood out to me so far this season, presented as song titles for a little extra spice. (Note: I am very surprised by...

Here’s Your Best Non-LeBron James NBA Highlight Of The Week

Seeing as David Stern and the NBA prefer putting superstar-led teams on ESPN and TNT, and AT&T U-Verse doesn’t have NBA TV available for po’ folk like me, I don’t get to watch Javale McGee’s crazy ass play as much as I’d like to. So I have to depend on Twitter and the great Denver bloggers and writers that I follow to fill me in on the crazy things he says or does each...
