The New Orleans Hornets, who sufered a blow when Anthony Davis went down with a concussion last night, got word that Eric Gordon could miss 4-6 weeks due to a knee injury.  Considering as of yesterday Gordon was possibly going to miss all of this season, the suggestion that he could miss a month to a month and a half is a much better proposition for the Hornets. According to Yahoo! Sports, who first broke the report, Gordon got a second opinion on his right knee yesterday.  The second opinion confirmed that he would not need surgery, but that Gordon would need to miss 4-6 weeks.  The team has yet to confirm reports.Gordon had arthroscopic surgery on the knee in February.  The timing of Gordon's setback with the knee is not clear and the extent of the damage to the knee is not clear either.  Gordon had tried out for the USA Olympic team and suggested that the setback came at sometime between tryouts and the start of the preseason.Gordon made it clear when the Hornet matched his offer sheet this past offseason that he was not happy.  He has since worked on building a relationship with the city of New Orleans, but his desire to get out of New Orleans has led many to question his injury and his commitment to the team. In his career, Gordon has averaged 18.2 points per game in his career.  If he can get on the court and stay on the court for New Orleans, the team could intactly get better.  Combined with Davis, the Hornets have some good young talent.
