After failing to make enough of an impact in the Knicks' 100-67 game one loss to the Heat, Newsday's Al Iannazone is reporting that Tyson Chandler still remains just "probable" for game two tomorrow.Chandler, who grabbed just 3 rebounds in 21 scoreless minutes yesterday, did not attend the team's practice today in Miami. With the flu still plaguing Chandler so severely, is it better for him to sit out or play in game two? On occasion, a key player persevering through hardship to play in the playoffs (see Michael Jordan, Willis Reed, etc.) can ultimately turn out to be a huge moral booster for his team. Though early reports had originally stated Chandler was likely out for game one, the big man rose above the illness in order to participate as the Knicks began their playoff journey. But aside from being a moral booster, at what point does an ill player plague his team on the court, more than help them? If Chandler truly is not 100%, his presence on the hardwood co...

Lin tapes grad speech for NY highschoolers

Back in March, high school students at Manhattan's Stuyvesant High School Class asked Knicks guard Jeremy Lin to speak at their 2012 graduation but sadly, he had to decline the offer. However, Lin put together this video featuring a short-formed speech about chasing your dreams and all that graduation mumbo-jumbo:

LeBron James Catches Heat Following Flop That Draws Flagrant Foul on Tyson Chandler (Video)

The NBA: Where Flopping Happens. If there's one thing that most NBA fans hate more than LeBron James, it's flopping. So when James hit the deck during Saturday's Heat-Knicks first-round clash, it sent the Twitter world into a frenzy. James' apparent flop came as the second quarter was winding down. With New York bringing the ball up the floor, Knicks center Tyson...

Knicks' Lin wants to return during first-round series

New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin went through some light drills on Sunday and said he hopes to return to action before the end of New York's first-round series against the Miami Heat. Lin, who had surgery on April 2 to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee, had a bit of a setback Sunday when he experienced soreness in his knee, but he still would like to participate...

STAT Loses His Cool as Knicks Lose Game Two

The Knicks headed into game two of its first-round playoff series against the Heat minus the injured Iman Shumpert, but plus a relatively healthy Tyson Chandler. How this would ultimately translate on the court was unknown, but one thing was certain; things couldn't get much worse than the 33 point loss the Knicks suffered to open up the series. With Chandler rising above his flu...

Chandler, Wade, Bosh in for Knicks-Heat Game 1

Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh are returning to the Miami lineup, and Tyson Chandler is starting for New York when the Heat and Knicks meet Saturday in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference first-round series. Wade has been out with a dislocated left index finger, and Bosh missed the season's final six games with a strained right hamstring. Chandler sat out the Knicks' practice...

JEREMY LIN PROVIDES ENCOURAGING WORDS TO H.S. GRADUATING CLASS!

JEREMY LIN has become such an icon in New York that the 2012 graduating class of Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan invited the New York Knicks guard to speak at their graduating ceremony. Lin, who is recovering from knee surgery, had to decline the request but managed to put together a youtube video montage for Stuyvesant’s graduating class… Lin was an obvious choice as speaker...

LeBron James Flops Against the Knicks (Video)

I know the play was clearly a foul by Tyson Chandler, but LeBron did his own version of a soccer flop against the Knicks today.  Chandler was moving (while setting a pick) which is a foul every time, but LeBron tried to draw a flagrant foul by falling down and acting like a little girl.  Just pathetic.  I'll be the first person to jump on LeBron because I've always hated...

Amar'e Stoudamire Saves Blogfrica

There really is a book, or a Lifetime movie, or some other melodramatic experience, waiting to be told about these New York Knicks. Tonight in Miami, Team Telenovela lost by 10 to the Heat, then punctuated the experience with Dumas (consonants dropped at the behest of my advertisers) big man Amar'e Stoudamire decided to show his displeasure by, I am not making this up, punching...

Heat handle a hot Carmelo, take 2-0 series lead with 104-94 victory

This season has gone from weird to weirder for the New York Knicks. Only a New York team can steal the headlines while trailing the Heatles 2-0 in a series where many experts are pondering if the Knicks can win a game. Last night, the Heat handled business with a 104-94 win over the Knicks but that is not what we will talk about today. Instead, we will break down the actions...

New York Knicks Playoff Preview

While the Knicks will have to compete in the playoffs without Jeremy Lin, New York has turned a couple of heads this season. They will now look to continue their reemergence into basketball-relativity, as they play in the playoffs for the second season in a row.

Kreider’s Popularity Growing In NYC

from Tim Herrera of am NewYork, Jessica Kohler weighed in: “Linsanity was ridiculous, and #KREIDERMANIA is just plain awesome.” Wayne McDonnell, professor of sports management at NYU, said this is just what the city wants to see. “What we do best in New York is we love . . . the fighter, we love athlete’s who come out and are given that chance to shine,” he said. He...

Final Duns(TEN) Observations on the Knicks Regular Season

1) Back when NBA fans were frivolously arguing over Jeremy Lin'sinclusion in the Rookie-Sophomore Game, I was wondering why the same fans weren't clamoring for Steve Novak's inclusion in the Three Point Shootout. Novak was signed as a "stretch four" in Mike D'Antoni's offense and the Knicks' three-point archer has far surpassed expectations....

Shortened season over, time for the NBA postseason

The sprint to the NBA playoffs is over and the postseason lineup is one of the most intriguing ever. LeBron James vs. Carmelo Anthony, the young and confident Oklahoma City Thunder looking for an early knockout against the defending champion Dallas Mavericks, two Los Angeles teams shooting for one title and the venerable San Antonio Spurs looking for a second lockout-season title...

Stoudemire's temper may cost him the playoffs

Amar'e Stoudemire's season may be over and, as a result, the Knicks' season might not be too far behind. While storming off the court following a 104-94 loss in Game 2 in Miami, which dropped the Knicks to 0-2 in this best-of-seven first round series, Stoudemire apparently slammed a fire extinguisher case with his left hand. He suffered a laceration, according to the...
