This season was a disaster for the New York Knicks. They failed to make the playoffs in a weak Eastern Conference, and it seemed like almost everything went wrong. Iman Shumpert, one of the team’s very few young players, had a rough season. He shot just 37.8% from the field, and scored an underwhelming 6.7 points per game in 26.5 minutes. It’s no secret that Shump wasn’t good, and he’s admitting it on Twitter. After my second workout I’m always slumped. Goodnight world. I ain’t even gon iG lurk tonight lol. More shots tomorrow. #iSuckedThisYear — Iman Shumpert I (@I_Am_Iman) May 24, 2014 Well, at least he knows. Admitting is the first step, right? If the Knicks are to move forward, Shumpert needs to improve. The team will need him as either a key contributor or a trade chip; either way, he can’t play like he did last year. The Knicks selected Shumpert in the first round a few seasons ago, one of the rare years where the Knicks have a first round pick. They’ve actually gotten good value later in the first round when they’ve had picks, with Shump and Tim Hardaway Jr. @JrMarkyMark The post Iman Shumpert: I Sucked This Year appeared first on Pass The Pill - Kings of Hoops.
