Deron: Wizards not 'the smartest guys'

When discussing the difficult situation John Wall has had to deal with in Washington, Deron Williams said Wall's Wizards teammates are not "the smartest guys."

Wizards Call Up D-Leaguer Morris Almond

Washington has had success recently with 10-day contracts.  They have got very good production out of Cartier Martin and James Singleton, both of whom were signed to deals for the rest of the season. Unfortunately, to the many fans of Roger Mason Jr., he underwent surgery to repair an injured finger and was released by the Wizards.  This allowed Washington to open up another spot...

Wittman unphased by uncertain future

The Washington Wizards are not a good basketball team.  They have a pretty good point guard, a bunch of shooters, a rookie with a hot Central European girlfriend and a guy named Trevor.  I can appreciate all of these things.  Still, they're not very good.  They're so bad that they're likely going to get their second coach fired in less than a calender year.  Randy...

Deron Williams with an 'astute' observation on the Wizards

Let's face it, the Washington Wizards have been the laughing stock in the NBA. Former Wizard JaVale McGee had a big hand in lending to that reputation, Andray Blatche was benched for being fat, Flip Saunders was fired, and to top it all off, their current interim coach Randy Whittman doesn't even know if he will be around next season. About the only bright spot is point...

D-Will on the Washington Wizards “they’re not smart”

Stefan Bondy, who covers the New Jersey Nets for the New York Daily News, had some interesting, but truthful, quotes from Deron Williams about John Wall and the Washington Wizards: Deron Williams had some interesting quotes about intelligence of the Wizards, mostly in jest. Asked about Wall frustrations, Williams: “I don’t want to put anybody down [...]
