New York Sports-Kings:
One thing is for certain, somebody isn’t telling the truth. Since earlier this week when Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Garnett had their glorified tiff, we’ve heard non-stop about the Honey Nut Cheerios debacle. However, Doc Rivers has since come out and refuted the story saying he knows it didn’t happen for a fact.
“Well, No. 1, I know what’s been reported did not happen,” Rivers said during his weekly interview on Boston sports radio station WEEI. “I know that as a fact.”
Not so fast Doc. NBA.com’s Adam Zagoria tweeted that the Honey Nut Cheerios comment did indeed happen according to NBA sources. Makes sense, Doc Rivers probably doesn’t want any distractions to his team now that they’re finally on a bit of a roll after their early season funk. However the “NBA source,” comes in form of the ball boys.
An NBA source tells @snytv the ball boys overheard KG make the Cheerios comment to Melo. For what it’s worth.

The real winner continues to be General Mills, as Honey Nut Cheerios continues to get some nice exposure!

Boston Celtics head coach Doc Rivers denied the report claiming that Kevin Garnett told Carmelo Anthony his wife tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios.
Garnett has always been hesitant to impart his deep well of basketball knowledge on his teammates in fears that it will be used against him in the future. This fits well into the ‘competitive at all costs’ character mold Garnett has so gracefully been placed in.When the Celtics signed Kevin Garnett to a new three-year deal, Danny Ainge and company were attempting to reload...
Doc Rivers admits that NBA trash talking can get out of hand, but on Thursday he insisted that Kevin Garnett did not cross a line while chirping at the Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony during Monday’s 102-96 victory.
Some reports emerging after the incident indicated that Garnett had made his talking personal, mentioning Anthony’s wife. Whatever he said, it clearly infuriated Anthony...
Celtics big man Kevin Garnett is a surefire Hall of Famer, one of the best to ever play his position. He is revered by his teammates and Celtics fans adore him. However, that is where the superlatives likely end.
Garnett has an undeniable reputation among his NBA brethren, and it’s not a glowing one. The veteran is not only one of the best basketball players of his generation,...
Kevin Garnett’s dust-up with Carmelo Anthony reached tabloid proportions when it was “reported” that he made a Honey Nut Cheerios comment about Melo’s wife.
Despite the sketchy source of this report, the media has gradually accepted it as fact. I’m not talking about bloggers and tabloids, I’m talking about legitimate reporters and analysts. They may not be writing feature...
This is a coach that is coming to the defense of a player who once told Tim Duncan happy mother’s day during a free throw attempt when he knew his mother had died from cancer.
This is also a player who called Charlie Villanueva a “cancer patient”, but Doc Rivers would like you to believe he would never cross the line.
“Guys, you know how this works,” Rivers said. “A guy...
Kevin Garnett might have said Carmelo Anthony's wife LaLa tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios, but the Knicks forward probably wishes she was a box of Lucky Charms after the NBA suspended Melo one game for confronting Garnett for Monday's post-game skirmish.
The suspension will be served tonight against the Indiana Pacers at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Anthony defended his...

Carmelo flipped his lid. Can you blame him? This lowlife by the name of Kevin Garnett said that his precious LaLa tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios! As if! How would this punk know how this queen tastes? Balderdash, I say! He was merely trying to get under Carmelo’s skin. While Melo is taking the high road (LOL J/K, he waited for KG by the Celtics’...
The NBA has made its decision on the punishment for the incident that took place between Kevin Garnett and Carmelo Anthony after Monday night’s Celtics/Knick game, according to the Associated Press. Carmelo didn’t think he would be suspended, but NBA discipline czar, Stu Jackson, thought differently. Jackson said in a statement: There are no circumstances in [...]
The Boston Celtics beat the Houston Rockets 103-91
CelticsLife Game Recap
Kevin Garnett: 17 Points, 8 Rebounds
KG gave us all we wanted offensively, and on the boards, but his defense was the star tonight. His efforts were crucial to slowing down the Houston Rockets, one of the best offensive teams in the league. He especially shined in the fourth...
The Celtics let a 17 point deficit dwindle down to two but Kevin Garnett & Paul Pierce refused to let this game slip through their fingers. KG dropped 11 of his 17 in the fourth and Paul Pierce landed a big lay-up plus the foul as the Captain would lead the team with 23 points, as the Celtics win their 5th straight, with a 103-91 victory.
The Green: The Bench. After a hot...
The 2012-13 season did not start the way the Boston Celtics wanted it to as they struggled all year. They came into 2013 with a record 14-16 to start the season, and were badly in need of a spark to turn things around. Well it arrived on January 2nd in the form of guard Avery Bradley. Bradley, who has missed the entire regular season up to this point after surgery on both...
On Wednesday night the Celtics returned home to open up their first of five home games. The Phoenix Suns were in town to avoid going 0-11 in their last away games. While the Celtics looked to continue their win streak to four games coming off a huge win against the Knicks. Rajon Rondo is back from his one game suspension and looked to led the team again. In a great team performance...
