Rajon Rondo had his third straight good game Thursday night, putting up 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists.  And he is beginning to show confidence in knocking down jump shots.  I’ve been saying for a long time that he actually can shoot, and it’s just a matter of time till he starts doing it on a regular basis (two years ago at the All-Star Game he was in the finals of the HORSE competition against Kevin Durant.  It was taking too long and TNT wanted to move on to the dunk contest, so they made them both shoot 3′s till someone missed.  Rondo hit 10 in a row.  Durant made 11). There was one sequence in the 3rd quarter of the Bulls game where Ray passed up an open 3, then KG passed on a jumper at the top of the key, then Rondo took and buried a 20 footer.  I’ve got a feeling we’re going to start seeing more and more of this.  And I like it.  Rondo is also developing great chemistry with Chris Wilcox, who seems to be the guy most willing to run up the floor.  I think we’re going to...

Will Rajon Rondo Be Suspended for Flipping Ball Off Referee During Loss to Pistons?

Things went from bad to worse for the Celtics on Sunday. Not only did the C's drop their third straight to the lowly Pistons, but Rajon Rondo was ejected for throwing the ball at referee Sean Wright following a no-call. It wasn't an extremely forceful throw, and you could argue that a foul should have been called on the play, during which Rondo got leveled on his way to the...

Rajon Rondo suspended two games for throwing ball at referee (Video)

Rajon Rondo was suspended two games by the NBA for throwing a ball at a referee after not getting a foul call in the third quarter of the Celtics-Pistons game Sunday. Rondo definitely was fouled by Greg Monroe so it’s easy to see why he was frustrated. Tossing the ball at the ref was unsportsmanlike, but a two-game suspension seems excessive. When you’re talking about a shortened...

Does Rajon Rondo Deserve a 2-Game Suspension For This?

A short time before last night’s manhandling at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks in Big D, Rajon Rondo and the Celtics learned that he had been suspended for two games for tossing the ball at referee Sean Wright on Sunday night in Detroit. In that game, Rondo was upset when he felt that he [...]

It hasn’t been ALL bad for the Celtics lately

Rajon Rondo had his third straight good game Thursday night, putting up 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists.  And he is beginning to show confidence in knocking down jump shots.  I’ve been saying for a long time that he actually can shoot, and it’s just a matter of time till he starts doing it on a regular basis (two years ago at the All-Star Game he was in the finals of the...

Raging Rajon Gets Two Game Suspension After Throwing Ball At Ref

Boston Celtics starting point guard Rajon Rondo allowed his emotions to get the better of him on Sunday night and gave into frustration during the third quarter of his team’s loss to the Detroit Pistons; which will result in the club’s floor general earning a two game suspension. The “Boston Globe” and “ESPN.com” reported on Monday that the Celtics guard was given a...

Don't expect Danny Ainge to blow the Celtics up at the trade deadline

With the Boston Celtics losing six of their last seven games and falling back under .500 comes the inevitable call from anyone with an opinion to get rid of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo, the team trainer and the head of the public relations department. The "blow the team up" rallies, which disappeared when the Celtics were on their winning streak...

They’re outsiders lately

DALLAS - Pistons guard Rodney Stuckey went to the free throw line Sunday night 15 times and scored 12 of his 16 points there. The Celtics attempted 15 free throws, and perhaps that was the source of some of Rajon Rondo’s frustration as he was ejected in the third quarter.
