Found May 02, 2013 on Celtics Life:
After the Boston Celtics' game 5 win over the New York Knicks, Jason Terry gave an on-court interview where he emphasized that the C's have heart and they weren't going to let the Knicks win the series as easily as players like Kenyon Martin and JR Smith might have expected. JET said that the Celtics' strategy coming into this game was to win every quarter, and also had some words that seemingly responded to JR Smith's "I don't know who that is" comment about Terry earlier this week: "I'm a 14 year old veteran. If you don't know who I am by now, you will after this series is over with." Watch the complete interview in the video above. Video courtesy of Sumthin4uToKnod2 on YouTube.

Jason Terry: We’re Not Laying Down

No team has ever come back to win a series in which they were down 3 games to 0. That hasn’t stopped the Boston Celtics from fighting though and the veteran team finds themselves down 3-2 after refusing to quit on themselves after many considered them done. So you could figure that emotions would be [...]

J.R. Smith may have cost NY Knicks the series vs Celtics

On the eve of game 5, vs the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks super-sixth man says that their wouldn't even be a game 5 had he not elbowed Jason Terry in the closing minutes of game 3. From NY Daily News: Jason Terry goes by the nickname “Jet,” while the monikers Knicks fans will undoubtedly call the Boston Celtics guard will fall under the category of “parental discretion...

JR Smith when asked about Jason Terry: ‘Who?’

The Boston Celtics have an incredibly tall task ahead of them if they want to advance to the next round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. They are returning to New York on Wednesday night to face the Knicks, who have put Kevin Garnett and company in a 3-1 hole. If it’s bulletin-board material that the Celtics need to motivate them, JR Smith is doing his best to provide it. Smith...

Underrated Stat of the Night - Game 5

Tonight's game 5 over the Knicks was probably this team's sweetest victory since game 5 of last year's conference finals. They went into a loud MSG filled with bandwagon fans and stuck-up players. And they did exactly what I expected, they won with their maturity. Even when they trailed by 11 in the first quarter, they were relaxed. On the court, the sky was falling....

Who Shot, J.R.? Some Guy Named Terry, And Two Legends Who Won’t Say Die

Celtics 92, Knicks 86 Follow @TheNosebleeds As long they’re still standing, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett are a force to be reckoned with in the NBA playoffs. J.R. Smith and the Knicks tried to dismiss the Celtics’ chances before Game 5 even began, but as the results have shown, it’s best to keep those comments to yourself. J.R. Smith is going to have to wait even longer to...

Melo's wife LaLa fires back at Jordan Crawford

Boston Celtics reserve guard Jordan Crawford instigated a postgame tussle by taunting New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony following Boston’s 92-86 victory over the Knicks in Game 5 on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden. As both teams crossed

J.R. Smith Says Series Would Be Over If He Played Sunday, Doesn’t Know Who Jason Terry Is

J.R. Smith says the Knicks would have swept the Celtics in Boston Sunday if he had not been suspended, and he’d be enjoying a game of golf rather than a day on the practice court preparing to face Boston and Jason Terry, who Smith sarcastically claims to never heard of. According to the NY Post: “Oh yeah, it’d been over,’’ Smith said in his first comments since his one...

Jason Terry, Celtics Would Welcome Jason Collins Back to Boston, Could Use His Toughness, Professionalism

WALTHAM, Mass. — Jason Terry has no idea how Jason Collins will be received next season, either by his new teammates or by fans. All Terry knows is that he would welcome Collins back into the fold in Boston. In fact, Terry would welcome him back right now, if that were possible. “We definitely need his toughness,” Terry said on the eve of the Celtics’ do-or-die Game 5 against...

5 Things Celtics must do to win tonight - Game 6

Tonight, the Celtics will look to even up their series with the Knicks when they play what could be their final game at the TD Garden this season. The Celtics have been in complete control in these last two games, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Right now, the Celtics are the better team. They have more experience and more momentum. I'll be shocked if they drop...

Jason Terry and David Ortiz are neighbors and yeah they've talked 2004

The Red Sox comeback against the Yankees in 2004 was one of the greatest, if not the greatest, sporting events I'd ever witnessed in person. Now, almost 10 years later, another Boston team is trying to do the same thing against New York. Can they do it? The odds are obviously extremely doubtful. On top of the fact that no NBA team has ever come back from an 0-3 deficit before...

Kenyon Martin Refuses to Talk About Knicks Wearing Black to Game 5, Will Only ‘Talk About Basketball’ (Video)

Prior to Game 5, possibly as a response to Jason Terry talking too much trash for the Knicks’ liking, Kenyon Martin told his New York teammates to show up to Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night dressed all in black. Martin anticipated the game being the Celtics’ funeral, and he wanted his guys to be dressed appropriately. Well, the move backfired. Instead of looking intimidating...

Can the Celtics recreate Boston sporting history?

Less than a week ago, the Boston Celtics trailed 3-0 in the series against age-old rivalries, the New York Knicks. Instead of submitting to defeat, the Celtics moved a step closer to doing the unthinkable when on Wednesday night they defeated the Knicks 92-86 in Game 5 of their best-of-seven series. Trailing 3-2, the Celtics will show their worth tonight in Boston in Game 6 and if...

Your Morning Dump…where the Knicks keep talking

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.  “Yeah. That’s cool. I thought they wore that last game too,” Jason Terry said yesterday of the Martin comment. “For us it don’t change whether they wear white, pink, blue, black, green — it’s Game...

Game Notes: Knicks vs. Celtics Game Five

Now, this is a series. Knicks and Celtics go back to Boston for Game Six on May 3rd at 7:00 pm. Boston won last night 92-86. The Celtics looked really good, while the Knicks looked lackluster to say the least. After going up 3-0, the Knicks are traveling back to Boston up just 3-2. Let's not choke here, fellas. A couple thoughts and notes on the Celtics' win. Kevin Garnett...

J.R. Smith says if he played Game 4 the Knicks would be golfing right now

No, the season would be over if Chuck Nevitt was like 20 years younger and played for Boston Ok, no it wouldn't. The Knicks keep churning out the trash talk. They must be pretty fired up to be beating an old and beaten up Celtics team missing their best player. New York's Kenyon Martin told his team yesterday to wear funeral colors because they were going to end the series...
