Jermaine O’Neal has been advised that season ending knee surgery is the best course of action for dealing with his injured knee. According to the Boston Globe, O’Neal is in the process of seeking a 2nd and possibly 3rd opinion. There is a possibility that O’Neal could choose to rest his injured knee in hopes of being able to get it going for a late season run, but the Celtics have tried this once already and he lasted just over two weeks,

Jermaine O’Neal has stated that he will wait until Tuesday to make a decision on whether he’ll choose between season ending surgery or try resting it again.

The list of free agent centers is rather bleak outside of Rasheed Wallace, old friends Mikki Moore and Mark Blount are looking for work and could end up suiting up for the green team once again.
