Best Athletes By The Numbers:
38 consecutive double-doubles. Sounds like an impressive feat, doesn't it? Well, it is, and it's just what Kevin Love accomplished yesterday. Love set the Minnesota record for consecutive double-doubles in a 112-108 victory by his Timberwolves over the Houston Rockets.
The big forward out of UCLA is now averaging 21.4 points per game and 15.4 rebounds per game for the 2010-2011 NBA season. Think all Love can do is rebound and score from inside? Think again. He is 43.9 percent from behind the arc this season, going 72 for 164 so far.
