Per Brian Schmitz of the Orlando Sentinel, Magic reserve guard J.J. Redick will not play in Friday night’s game against the Golden State Warriors.
Redick was injured during shootaround Friday morning.
Redick strained a muscle in his lower abdomen while making a “close-out” defensive move during the practice.
The club listed Redick day-to-day. He was seen by the Warriors’ team physician an hour before tip-off.
“I guess you could say I’m in some discomfort,” Redick said after the shootaround. “I’ll get some treatment and see how it feels. I don’t know.”
