San Antonio Spurs first round draft pick Cory Joseph has gone full circle, starting in Austin with the Universityof Texas to playing with the Spurs to ending up back in Austin for the Toros.
With the Spurs' abundance of guards on the roster, Joseph is getting some much needed experience with the Toros and has certainly made an impact in the D-League.
In a big win over the Maine Red Claws during the season, Joesph recorded a triple-double with 15 points, 17 rebounds and 12 assists.
Regardless of what league he's playing in, that kind of game is definitely impressive, which led to Joseph being named D-League performer of the week in late March.
Joseph and the Toros are on their way to the second round of the D-League playoffs. After dispatching the Erie Bayhawks in three games, the Toros will now play the Canton Charge.
While Joseph struggled offensively in the first game, he had seven rebounds and three assists. In Game 2, he posted totals of 14 points, seven assists and five rebounds. He finished with 10 points, eight rebounds and two assists in the series-clinching game.
Joseph was featured as the Your News Now Athlete of the Week. Be sure to watch the video for Joseph's, Toros coach Brad Jones and former teammate/current Toros volunteer assistant coach T.J. Ford's thoughts on Joseph's season.

With averages of 16 points and 9 boards in pretty limited minutes over the month of April, Tim Duncan has been looking awfully spry lately. He’s got his Spurs on a 17-game roll during which they’ve racked up 15 wins and made their move to the top of the Western Conference. Last night, Timmy may have felt a bit of extra motivation due to the 30 rebounds Andrew Bynum hung...
As the Los Angeles Lakers showed in their first meeting this season against the San Antonio Spurs, the biggest weakness in this year's Spurs team is their lack of size.
Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol wrecked havoc in the paint for San Antonio and in particular Bynum who finished with 16 points and 30 rebounds.
But could a legit big man be on the way to the Spurs next season? Perhaps...
