Josh Smith has had an up-and-down relationship with the Hawks, but he’s always made one thing clear: he loves Atlanta, his native city. Since a rookie he’s sported an outline of Georgia along with the letters “ATL” on his left bicep, and sometime between spring 2009 and fall 2010 he added the old “Pacman” logo that represented the Hawks during the Dominique Wilkins era. If that isn’t proof enough, he also has an Interstate 20 sign tattooed directly above the Hawks logo and has been known to appear in Young Jeezy music videos.
While it’s clear that Smith’s tattoo is more about the City of Atlanta than it is the Hawks, it’s still one of the coolest basketball-related pieces currently adorning the skin of any NBA player.
