Beyond The Buzzer:
J.R. Smith hasn’t gotten any new ink in fourteen long months – a drought that could soon come to an end. The Sixth Man of the Year candidate vows to get a Knicks tattoo if the team wins a championship this season.
According to Marc Berman, New York Post:
“If we win a championship, I’ll definitely get it,’’ Smith told The Post. “Other than that, I’m not sure yet.’’

J.R. Smith, born and raised in Jersey, attended St. Benedict’s in Jersey City and went pro out of high school. J.R. has had a good career by most standards. However something else burns inside. Like MCA said, “ Like the sound that go’s to the depths of your soul” That sound is basketball in J.R.’s world. He wants more than the money, fame and respect at this point in his...

“No, JR. Stop! Don’t take that shot! What are you doi— YES JR! YES!”
If you are a Knicks fan, you probably say this out loud at least four times a game. New York’s sixth man, J.R Smith, is an enigma. He is extremely talented and is one of the league’s best athletes, but he often has trouble harnessing his abilities and providing solid, consistent production...
If all goes to play for the New York Knicks in the postseason this year, JR Smith says he will be getting a Knicks tattoo.
New York Knicks guard JR Smith has had a great season coming off the bench. A key cog to the Knicks success this year, Smith has a good shot at winning the NBA’s sixth man of the year award this season.

Smith was a scorching 13-16 from the field, finishing with 31 points and chipping in five rebounds. Smith hit 12 straight field goals during a late second half stretch, that ultimately closed the...
No Carmelo, JR Smith, Chandler, Kenyon or Amar’e. None of them traveled.

We hardly knew ye: #Knicks announce they have waived Solomon Jones. The 6-10 center was a Knick for basically a weekend. — Alan Hahn (@alanhahn) April 15, 2013
Camby is active but will not play. Raymond Felton won’t start and Woodson hopes he won’t...
On March 18th, the 38-26 Knicks, currently on a four-game losing streak came into the EnergySolutions Arena looking to turn it around against the Utah Jazz. The team was still in a position of strength in that they undoubtedly had their most talented collection of players in years and were battling over the highly sought after second seed; a spot that would delay any Eastern Conference...
Last night, the Cavaliers fell to the New York Knicks 101-91, largely due to the stellar performances of New York’s 1-2 punch of Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith (31 points each). Rather than a traditional recap, I thought I’d take a stab at looking at some of the crazy cross-matchups that occurred in this game’s, primarily centered around Anthony playing the power forward position...
