PLAYERS: Kenyon Martin
TEAMS: New York Knicks
Kenyon Martin has remained healthy and performed well enough to earn himself another ten days on the New York Knicks roster.  The veteran forward has played out his original ten-day contract with the Knicks, but the team is reportedly going to give him another one. According to Ian Begley of ESPN New York, the team actually hopes that Martin sticks with the club for the rest of the season.  However, the Knicks aren't ready to sign him for the remainder of the season because of injury concerns. Martin didn't play at all this season until the Knicks signed him to the ten-day contract.  And even still, he got limited playing time in the first ten-day deal.  So far with the Knicks, Martin has played in one game for five minutes.  He didn't score any points or pull down any rebounds.  But he also didn't turn the ball over. Martin was once a force in the NBA.  He was never really the star people thought he might be, but he was a good player.  In his career, he has averaged 13.0 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game.  He was thought to be an easy number one overall pick out of college in 2000, but then he broke his leg.  He was still drafted in the first round. Knicks Sign Kenyon Martin To Second 10-Day Contract

The New York Knicks have signed veteran forward, Kenyon Martin, to a second 10-day contract. The 35-year-old has appeared in just one game for five minutes since signing onto his first 10-day contract with the team. At the end of this second 10-day contract, the Knicks will have to decide whether to sign Martin for the remainder of the season, or let him walk.

Knicks Coach Mike Woodson Says Carmelo Anthony Felt Discomfort in Knee Before Tumble

Carmelo Anthony‘s knee injury is being treated carefully but optimistically ever since the Knicks forward left Monday’s game after stumbling to the floor in the second quarter. If he is not, the...

Woodson’s Division of Playing Time Could Cost Team the Division

The Knicks managed to win last night in Cleveland, but issues remain within the organization. Despite a sterling regular season record, Mike Woodson’s rotation decisions lead me to believe he will cost us a valuable game or two in the postseason.
