Found January 06, 2012 on Red's Army:
PLAYERS: Keyon Dooling
TEAMS: Boston Celtics
At this year's Boston Celtics open-practice, I noticed Keyon Dooling wearing Rondo's 2010 Hyperfuse player edition kicks. Myself and other Celtics fans/sneakerheads figured Keyon didn't have any kicks in Celtics colorways yet, so he was borrowing Rondo's.  Well now the regular-season is here, and Keyon is still wearing Rondo's kicks. CSNNE's Jess Camerato got the scoop on the kicks situation first, and Sole Collector has since picked-up the story also. pics via Sole Collector

Ray Allen may return to the Celtics lineup on Friday

Flannery also wrote in his piece on that Ray Allen was asked not to go to the team facility today to make sure that he didn't spread his illness around to his other teammates, but that he's feeling better. The Celtics could use Allen on Friday as the Pacers come to town. Indiana's better than Detroit, Washington and New Jersey, the three teams that the Celtics...

Should the Boston Celtics Trade Rajon Rondo?

Can’t shoot; temperamental; thin-skinned; egotistical. These aren’t the most endearing descriptors, particularly when they’re attached to your starting point guard who, incidentally, also doubles as your best young player and the future of the team. Indeed, to even contemplate handing the reins of the most successful franchise in league history to a character as flawed as those...

QuickVid: Kevin Garnett has lost his mind (again), thank god!

Well folks, for those of you (and me) questioning the Big Ticket’s intensity, here’s a video of Garnett throwing water all over himself [and Ray Allen] during the C’s recent matchup against the Washington Wizards. It’s been evident that Garnett has needed to get his legs under him. The condensced everything in 2011-12 has hurt [...]

Mickael Pietrus could debut Wednesday against Dallas Mavericks

Mickael Pietrus, who has been nursing a knee injury since signing with the Boston Celtics, could make his debut next week against the Dallas Mavericks. (WEEI)Ainge also told Glenn Ordway and Michael Holley that Mickael Pietrus (knee surgery) could debut for the Celtics next Wednesday vs. the Mavericks at the Garden. It’s unclear exactly what role Pietrus will play, but it seems...

Taking Stock: C's-Pacers

Starters Paul Pierce: Everyone is entitled to a bad shooting night. It's disappointing to see, but Paul Pierce is better than 3-17 shooting.  Hey, it happens.  Rajon Rondo:  I'm going to be more critical of Rajon simply because he seemed to be showboating early.  If you're going to be hotdogging, son, you gotta back it up. 5-12 shooting won't cut it....

Pacers rebound by dismantling the Celtics

The Celtics had one of the most forgettable games you could imagine.  The Pacers came into Boston beating the Celtics, 87-74.  I have not seen this lack of effort in a long time from the Celtics who were not missing anyone due to injuries.  Paul Pierce struggled all game in one of the slowest paced games you will see at the Garden. Indiana starts Darren Collison, Paul George...

Celtics Tie a Franchise Worst 25 Points at the Half

The Celtics trail 33-25 at halftime against the Indiana Pacers. This is the fourth in franchise history the Celtics have put up 25 points in one half, also occurring in 1999, 1995, and 1955. Ray Allen is the game’s high scorer in his return with eight points on 2-for-5 shooting. However, the team is shooting [...]

Ray Allen Out Against Nets, Dooling to Start

According to Kyle Draper of Comcast Sports New New England, Ray Allen will not be playing tonight against the Nets and Keyon Dooling will play in his place. NESN speculates that it's a lingering illness, as Ray stated Monday night that he was playing with a bad cold.

Ray Allen talks about team building blocks, Wizards

Ray Allen has been around for a while, seen the mountain top and more than one valley. There’s some wisdom there. In an interesting interview at, Allen talks about the kind of team and franchise culture high-profile players look for when deciding where to play as a free agent. Yes, the main motivation is…

Rivers OK with Bass's defense

The numbers confirm Brandon Bass as the Celtics’ most active player on offense. Bass leads the team in field goal attempts (78) and offensive rebounds (12) after seven games.

Elbows to the face are the key to rebounding

Mr. Triple Double uncovered a fabulous video from 1991. Tommy Heinsohn and Bob Cousy are handling the play-by-play and color analysis for the Celtics and Pistons. Detroit, especially Dennis Rodman, is killing the Celtics on the boards. Here are some classic lines: Tommy: You gotta put an elbow in his face, Couz. Tommy: I hope we have a replay of that rebound. Bird had two...
