Kevin Garnett did an interview on WEEI's Mut and Merloni show this afternoon, with last night's "brawl" obviously being the main topic of conversation. But he also gave us a nice quote to laugh at in the never ending "we don't talk to Ray Allen anymore" genre. From The Boston Globe's Gary Dzen:
In a bit of a lighter moment, Garnett was asked what he was going to get former teammate Ray Allen for Christmas.
“Absolutely nothing,” said Garnett, after a long pause. “We have Secret Santas around here, and I want to focus on my Secret Santa.”
And that's a real (and allegedly very rare) special Christmas edition Upper Deck basketball card from 1999. Here's the back:

Video: Celtics Locker Room Report: Celtics Win Without Rondo…and Prove They’re Men?
The Celtics beat the Portland Trailblazers emphatically by a score of 96-78 last night, even if their star point guard was not around to see the action after being ejected against the Nets. However, the talk in the locker room for Kevin Garnett was about Doc’s comment that other teams think the Celtics are “soft”. [...]
Rajon Rondo Gets Ejected for Fighting Kris Humphries Who Punched Kevin Garnett (Video)
The Boston Celtics met the Brooklyn Nets earlier tonight at the TD Garden arena, and things got wild. Kris Humphies "punched" if you will, Kevin Garnett in the face while he was going up for a shot. Celtics guard Rajon Rondo didn't like what he saw and went after Kris. The fight went into the crowd, but nothing really seemed to happen after that. Not nearly...
LaMarcus Aldridge on KG: “…he couldn’t punk me”
With LaMarcus Aldridge and the Portland Trailblazers coming into Boston, The Oregonian posted an interesting article about the matchup: Does Garnett’s style of play, and irritation, bring out the best in Aldridge? Can I quickly dispel this and say no?
According to article, Aldridge has a list of people who really bring out the aggravation in him. Guys like A’mare Stoudemire,...

Felger thinks KG is a wuss & would lose a fight to any hockey player
There are a lot of CSNNE reporters I like. Michael Felger in not one of them. He's openly stated he doesn't like the Celtics or the NBA, yet CSNNE gives him a major platform to discuss the NBA. Yesterday he was going off on how KG ran away from Gerald Wallace and would lose a fight to any hockey player.
"I would take, almost literally, anyone in the NHL over Kevin Garnett...
Boston Celtics creating adversity for themselves….again!
February 22nd, 2012 – The Boston Celtics lose to the Oklahoma City Thunder 119-104 dropping their record to 15-17. Even the most ardent members of Celtics Nation declare the “window” shut for the team. The break-up of the Big Three seems inevitable as Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and maybe even Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett [...]
Video: Three at the Buzzer: Rondo-less Celtics Blowout Blazers 96-78
The Celtics barely missed Rondo as they routed the Trailblazers 96-78. Strong performances by Jeff Green, Jason Terry, Courtney Lee, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett gave Celtics fans hope that they can play without their floor general. Jared Weiss of CLNS Radio recaps the game in tonight’s edition of “Three at the Buzzer”. Filmed and [...]
Video: Tempers flare during Celtics, Nets game
With the Nets up 51-35 in the first half of their game against the Celtics last night, tempers flared when Nets' Kris Humphries fouled Celtics' Kevin Garnett sending him crashing to the floor.
Rajon Rondo didn't take to kindly to Humphries' foul on his teammate and that's when a brawl broke out.
Boston head coach responded to the brawl saying the...
Ray Allen drills 3-pointer as Heat edge Spurs
MIAMI (AP) -- Ray Allen's 3-pointer with 22.6 seconds left gave the Miami Heat the lead, and they held on to beat the short-handed San Antonio Spurs 105-100 on Thursday night to remain perfect at home this season.
The Spurs played without Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Danny Green, all sent home to rest in a move that raised the ire of NBA Commissioner David Stern...
Nets-Heat Preview
Fourth-quarter comebacks are becoming routine for the Miami Heat thanks in large part to Ray Allen.
They don't tend to worry about that against the Brooklyn Nets, but that may change.
Allen and the Heat will try to make things easier on themselves Saturday night when they go for a 12th straight win over the Nets, one of the league's hottest teams.
Miami (11-3) owns the...
Starting 5: Be careful what you wish for
Every morning, we will give you five things from the night before in the NBA to start your day.
1: Allen bails out Heat
Lesson No. 1 for defenses should be never leave Ray Allen for a moment beyond the 3-point line late in games. Bad things just happen to your defense when that happens. How Allen continues to get open for these clutch shots is beyond me. But he does.

Spurs at Heat game preview
Game time: Thursday at 8 p.m. ET
TV: Sun Sports
The Miami Heat are off to their best home start in franchise history, which may not be encouraging for a San Antonio Spurs team that has been routed in its last two trips to South Beach.

Heat edge shorthanded Spurs
The NBA plans to make San Antonio pay for resting four stars.
The Miami Heat almost could not.
Ray Allen's 3-pointer with 22.6 seconds left gave the Heat the lead, LeBron James finished with 23 points and the Heat rallied late to beat the Spurs 105-100 on Thursday night, needing to dig deep despite San Antonio's decision to have four standouts resting at home in a move...
