TEAMS: New York Knicks, Milwaukee Bucks
MILWAUKEE -- Carmelo Anthony scored 29 points and had eight rebounds as the New York Knicks beat the Milwaukee Bucks 102-88 Wednesday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Steve Novak, who grew up in the Milwaukee area, played collegiately at Marquette, had one of his best games of the young season, finishing with 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting while going 5 of 7 from beyond the 3-point line. Five Knicks scored in double-digits as New York (10-4) won for just the second time in its last five games. Fresh of the heels of a 27-point comeback against the Bulls in Chicago on Monday night, Milwaukee struggled to get into a rhythm and had difficulty containing Anthony. With defensive specialist Luc Richard Mbah a Moute yet to play this season while recovering from off-season knee surgery, the Bucks relied on rookie John Henson, and big men Epke Udoh and Larry Sanders to cover Anthony. On offense, the Bucks shot 45 percent (33 for 72) but were 5-for-13 on three-point attempts. Be...

Knicks get the best of Bucks in early test
MILWAUKEE -- Carmelo Anthony drove to the basket for an easy layup in the second half and then glanced back at his defender with a giant smile. It was almost like his face read, "that was easy."
It was just one of those nights for the Milwaukee Bucks.
In a game that the Bucks could have made a statement on their home floor, they instead fell flat on their face. And for...
Anthony, Knicks ease past Bucks

In short, the Bucks had to find a way to keep Carmelo Anthony in check. The plan didn't work as well as Milwaukee had hoped. Anthony scored 29 points and pulled down eight rebounds...

Novak enjoys return home to Wisconsin
MILWAUKEE -- Steve Novak claims he knows the rims at the BMO Harris Bradley Center pretty well.
Nobody is buying that, simply because he's rarely hit them. As pure of a shooter asthere is in the NBA and the best 3-point shooter in Marquette history, Novak is more familiar with the nets in the arena.
Wednesday seemed like a flashback to his college days, when any given night...

Knicks Light Up Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks dropped to 7-6 on the season after a blowout loss to the Knicks on Wednesday night. The final score was 102-88.
The story line on this one is pretty simple. The Knicks can make 3′s. This leads to lots of floor space, and open shots for the bigs. Makes life easy. Steve Novak killed them. The Bucks unfortunately, cannot shoot 3′s that well, which makes...
