The New York Knicks (2-0) beat the Philadelphia 76ers (1-1) 100-84, today at Madison Square Garden from New York, NY.
New York starts the season off going 2-0 and it is the very first time they go 2-0 in 13 years and in the 21st century.
The Knickerbockers played great defense once again and their offense managed to score at least 100 points in the first two games of the season.
I like what I see from this team. Knicks head coach Mike Woodson has brought back 1990's defensive style back to Madison Square Garden.
Carmelo Anthony has played like a leader in the last two games. He scored 27 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and blocked 2 shots.
Jason Kidd played with hustle and desire by scoring 12 points, made 6 assists, grabbed 3 rebounds and had 3 steals.
J.R. Smith was feeling it all day by dropping 20 points, made 4 three-pointer's and grabbed 9 rebounds.
Raymond Felton scored 11 points and grabbed 2 rebounds.
If the Knicks can play like this all season long, even though it is only the first two game of the season.
They will contend for an NBA Finals bid.
Their next game tomorrow night (Monday), when the New York Knicks will play the Philadelphia 76ers in the Wells Fargo Center at 7:00 pm on MSG.
BEST OF MAXIM
HE'S STILL GOT IT
As I said in the last post I went to the New York Knicks game in Philly tonight and J.R. Smith had the play of the game. While that may be so no player electrified the crowd then Philly native Rasheed Wallace. EVERY time Sheed touched the ball the crowd would start to chant SHEEEEED and every time he hoisted a three you’d hear the chant even louder or a collective sigh. You...
KNOW YOUR ROLE
Rasheed Wallace knows his best days are long behind him, but he's more than comfortable with his bench role on the Knickerbockers.
The Philadelphia 76ers were embarrassed by the New York Knicks — on consecutive nights — but it was Rasheed Wallace who had one of the, if not THE, top play of the game when he hit a buzzer beater to end the third quarter. The Knicks defeated the Sixers 100-88 and Wallace ended with 10 [...]The post Rasheed Wallace’s Buzzer Beater vs Philadelphia 76ers (Video) appeared first...
Just one night after defeatd by the New York Knicks and the three ball, the Sixers recorded their second loss of the season. The Sixers lost Monday's game at the Wells Fargo Center to the New York Knicks, 110-88. Yet again, the main problem was the three ball.
The Knicks shot 40.6% from the three point range, and again where led by Carmelo Anthony. Melo led New York with...
Off to the Big Apple to check out the local media contingent covering the NEW YORK KNICKS. Newspaper- The metropolitan area has four major newspapers that covers the Knicks. The New York Times‘ (subscription may be required) sports section includes a dedicated page to pro basketball. Nate Taylor (Twitter) takes the lead on the Knicks beat.
NEW YORK -- Carmelo Anthony scored 27 points to lead four New York Knicks in double figures as New York routed the Philadelphia 76ers 100-84 in a Sunday matinee at Madison Square Garden. J.R. Smith scored 20 points, Jason Kidd scored 12 points and Raymond Felton added 11 points for the Knicks, who have trailed just once -- at 2-0 for a 39-seconds span against the 76ers -- in winning...
Here at Menudo Bol, we love Rasheed Wallace and now it seems so does MSG.
Must feel great for Wallace to hear the chants calling for his check in on the court. And in classic Sheed fashion, he drills a 3.
Welcome back Sheed.
The New York Knicks (1-0) beat the Miami Heat (1-1) 104-84, last night at Madison Square Garden from New York, NY.
Carmelo Anthony and rest of the Knicks team told the fans yesterday that hurricane Sandy was a horribe storm that ruined NYC and he also told the fans that we will pull through together as New Yorker's.
Later on, the Knicks dominanted the game against the Heat...
PHILADELPHIA - Carmelo Anthony collected 21 points Monday night as the New York Knicks routed the Philadelphia 76ers for the second straight day, 110-88. Anthony, who had 27 points in Sunday's 100-84 victory over the Sixers in New York, was one of seven Knicks in double figures. That includes 38-year-old forward Rasheed Wallace, who is making an NBA comeback this year after...
After dismantling the world Chump Heat... the make up of this Knick team will not be taking nights off as they have done under past coaches. The depth of this team is plain out scary. Philly has no chance of even making this game competitive. The quality of our bench will keep each starter on their toes.. every night. Rasheed Wallace has been the most overlooked piece of our roster...
