The New York Knicks could lose Chris Copeland this summer in restricted free agency. Copeland will measure his market value after posting several strong performances in the Eastern Conference semifinals, including a 13 point, 4-rebound showing in the Knicks’ 85-75 win over the Pacers Thursday night. The Knicks will extend a qualifying offer to Copeland, making him a restricted free agent, but they may be prohibited from matching any offer more than $3 million.

Rihanna: JR Smith slumping because he’s hungover from partying in clubs

J.R. Smith has been shooting the ball terribly during the playoffs, and Rihanna says that’s because the New York Knicks guard is hungover from partying in clubs every night. Smith shot the ball well in Games 2 and 3 of the Knicks-Boston Celtics series, which the Knicks won in six games. He went 13-of-27 (48 percent) including 4-9 (44 percent) on 3-pointers those two games. But...

Rihanna says JR Smith is thirsty and the Knicks are WACK

Rihanna has never been one to hold her tongue. A few weeks ago tongues were wagging that she and Knicks star JR Smith had a “situation” developing. Well Rihanna made it clear to one fan who is blaming her for JR’s shooting slump that not only is she not responsible, she thinks JR is just as parched as the Sahara desert… It’s Rihanna, there is profanity. You’ve been warned...

Rihanna Says Knicks Are Wack, Calls J.R. Smith ‘Thirsty’ And Blames His Slump On Clubbing

Rihanna took offense on Instagram Thursday and responded to a fan who blamed her for the J.R. Smith’s recent playoff slump. The pop singer has been linked on and off to the 6th Man of the Year for quite some time, but most recently when they were pictured partying at her tour’s after-party in New York after his team’s only win against the Pacers in the series thus far.  Smith...

New York Knicks – Still Breathing, Bring On Game 6

Hooray more basketball! The New York Knicks extended at least two more days to their season with a 85-75 victory over the Indiana Pacers tonight. It was a generally ugly game, filled with a seemingly endless amount of turnovers, missed shots and missed free throws. Yet, the Knicks grabbed control early, gradually built their lead and never let the Pacers really threaten in the final...

Knicks vs Pacers Game 6 X-Factor: Bench Play

By Chris Connolly The Knicks had a grind out 85-75 victory over the Pacers in Game 5, forcing the series back to Indy for a Game 6 show down. After the Knicks failed to protect home court in Game 1 at the Garden, it has become apparent the team would need to steal one game in Indy. The Knicks failed to do so in Games 3 and 4, but will have the opportunity at redemption in a must...

Knicks stave off elimination and still have yet to face the real challenge that is game six in Indiana 85-75

The Knicks were able to win game five at home, they were facing elimination and obviously were not looking to be knocked out in New York. Still its a small victory because the obvious real test is the next game. A game six that has the Pacers, with a chance to avoid a very dangerous game seven for them, eliminate the Knicks from the playoffs. The Pacers will come with more intensity...

JR Smith's ineptitude since elbowing Jason Terry has spawned it's own twitter account

Jason Kidd hasn't scored a point in 8 games (since Game 2 vs Boston), but another Knick may being going through an even bigger slump.  After JR Smith's flagrant foul got him suspended for Game 4 of the Celtics series (a game Smith claimed New York would have won if he'd played), he has yet to shoot even 40% from the field in a single game.  Smith is a combined 26-91...

Former Blazers coach McMillan talks about Felton and his weight

A Big Distraction Raymond Felton isn’t exactly that sleek player that he used to be. Once a dominant player at the collegiate level who led the North Carolina Tar Heels to a National Championship in 2005, Felton has packed on a few extra pounds since coming to the NBA. Drafted in 2005 by the Charlotte Bobcats with the 5th pick in the NBA Draft, he actually performed admirably during...

For Knicks, Toughness Starts at the Top

It was disappointing to hear that MSG hierarchy pulled the plug on Mike Woodson’s regular segment on ESPN-98.7 with Stephen A. Smith and Ryan Ruocco. I don’t believe this is much of a loss from a radio standpoint – Woodson’s matter-of-fact interview style probably would annoy the bloodthirsty fans  - but from an organizational Q-Rating  it’s a black eye. I also think...

10 random thoughts about the New York Knicks as they face elimination

photo via AP Last night was ugly.  After the Knicks game, I wanted nothing to do with anyone.  Truth be told, I still don’t.  But since writing tends to be therapeutic at times, I decided to write a quick blog with random thoughts and questions about the Knicks.  They’re not in any particular order.  My mind doesn’t work like that, lol.  Instead, it’s just a brain...
