Knicks Journal :
Though the Knicks lost three out of their last four contests heading into NBA All-Star Weekend, there's no denying that as they hold the second best record in the Eastern Conference, New York displays more promise than they have in quite some time.An elevated team effort and more overall success often translates to greater representation throughout all the festivities and competitions the next few days has to offer. This has proven true for the Knicks, as the team will have Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler in the All-Star Game, Steve Novak in the Three-Point Contest, and James White in the Sprite Slam-Dunk Contest.Recording live from Houston, the site of NBA All-Star Weekend 2013, my co-host Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest and I bring you the latest edition of the KnicksJournal.com podcast. To kick things off, we discuss how the Knicks closed off the week. The team's struggles were undoubtedly evident, so the two of us break things down and address what improvements and/...

James White brought out some of the best props we have seen for a dunk contest.
The New York Knicks swingman, nicknamed “Flight” because of his incredible leaping abilities, brought out an entire flight crew as props for his first dunk attempt Saturday in Houston. White lined the attendants up in two rows and ran through the group of attendants on his way to dunking from a step...
Carmelo Anthony's status for the All-Star Game on Sunday is not certain after suffering an injury last night. Anthony suffered an arm injury in the New York Knicks' loss last night to the Toronto Raptors, and the injury could limit or prevent Anthony from playing altogether in the All-Star Game.According to an AP report, Anthony suffered a deep bruise in his right arm...
Imagine if Steve Novak was in that State Farm commercial with Aaron Rogers talking to a classroom of students. One of the kids could tell him he should have “double checked” the defender with a pump fake and then shoot to avoid from being blocked.
“Is that a question?” Novak could ask.
“No, just an observation,” replies the student with a smile.
Novak may “Discount...
It seems the issues between Kevin Garnett and Carmelo Anthony have been resolved.
The two Eastern Conference All-Stars teamed up to make fun of TNT announcer Craig Sager‘s turquoise suit. Sager asked Anthony about the spat between the Knick and Celtic at practice, and Anthony pulled Garnett over to help him answer the question.
“Honey Nut Cheerios” were not mentioned, but Garnett...
Kevin Garnett and Carmelo Anthony have seem to resolve the little spat they had earlier in the year, and have since united for a greater cause: clowning Craig Sager’s awful suit.
Nice to see the two getting along again, and gotta love the comeback Sager threw back at KG.
All turquoise errthing
Carmelo Anthony said he felt numbness throughout the game and called the contusion "kind of deep."
Valentine’s Day is a day of love. It is a day that women can’t wait for and men pretend to like for that special lady.
But last year, something made this day special for all Knicks fans. It was the day that everyone fell in love with Jeremy Lin.
Everyone except maybe Carmelo Anthony, who was out with an injury and wasn’t around for Lin’s success.
On this day one year...
Tweet Just when you thought the Kevin Garnett Cheerios comments thing was dead and in the past Craig Sager was there to bring it up again at Saturday’s All-Star practice. The subject quickly changed from whether or not everything is cool between KG and Melo to Craig Sager’s Caribbean water colored jacket and hilarity [...]
We know about most of the participants in this year’s dunk contest. Just kidding. In the past few years, the dunk contest has been filled with up and comers and bench warmers. So allow me to reintroduce themselves. Jeremy Evans is that nobody that won last year. I don’t think too many people even remember that he won last year. Go ahead. Ask one of your boys who won the NBA dunk...
And so, the Honey-Nut Cheerios saga continues. During a Craig Sager All-Star interview, tensions were high as Kevin Garnett and Carmelo Anthony butted heads once again.
Leave it to Sager's flamboyant suits to unite former enemies...

Tonight was a night that deeply troubled me as a Knicks fan. I would usually write my article about the “Good Things” and “The Bad Things” but tonight I have so little positive things to write that I am going to just express how I feel as a Knicks fan.
Tonight the Knicks did not bring their game the way their record would indicate. The much...
