The Miami Heat were called a bunch of frontrunners after their 94-90 Game 5 loss to the Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals on Tuesday night, and after pulling crap like they did following the game, it’s hard to disagree. Both LeBron James and Dwyane Wade — the team’s leaders and biggest stars — did not go to the podium to speak with the media after the game. Instead, coach Erik Spoelstra was sent to the media wolves, and Chris Bosh was left as the reporters’ scraps. Yup, James and Wade decided the guy who had just returned after missing nine games should represent the club after one of its biggest losses of the season. At least the oft-mocked Bosh stood front and center to take questions from the media; Wade and James couldn’t even manage that. Apparently James and Wade decided their wacky outfits and dopey pants and accessories don’t look so cute after a loss. Apparently they decided they didn’t want to face the massive firing squad, and instead answered questions in the...

LeBron James Doused With Beer by Fan After Game 6 Victory at TD Garden (Video)

LeBron James made his final appearance of the season in Boston in Thursday night's 98-79 Game 6 victory, and, if the actions of one rogue individual are any indication, Celtics fans won't be sorry to see him go. As James walked off the court following a 45-point, 15-rebound performance that ranks among his greatest games ever, he was doused by what appeared to be beer unceremoniously...

A construction worker is probably going to get in some trouble for this sign

This sign was spotted on a Boston highway and you can guess what the missing letter is supposed to be. The sign reads “FCK LBJ”. LBJ is short for Lebron James. The Miami Heat and Lebron James will be eliminated from the playoffs if they lose Game 6 tonight. It doesn’t help their cause that the game is in Boston. You can bet that “The Jungle” will be rocking tonight at...

LeBron coolly delivers Game 6 masterpiece

BOSTON LeBron James, after turning in a performance that was epic enough to not only alter the course of a series but perhaps redefine his career, exited the court at Boston Garden, raised his middle finger to the world and unleashed an expletive-laced rant to everyone (that would be you, world) who had ever doubted him. Ah, if only. As it turned out, after his 45-point, 15-rebound...

Heat on brink of bust with Game 5 loss

MIAMI -- The Heat are one game from bust. At the start of the season, Miami players didn't mind putting pressure on themselves. Big man Chris Bosh called the Heat the best team in the NBA. Guard Dwyane Wade said, "If we don't win a championship, yes, it's a bust year." Stunningly, the Heat now find themselves one game from the season blowing up. And it could...

Halftime Report: Heat Lead 55-42 as LeBron Scores 30

LeBron James leads the way with 30 points in the first half as the Miami Heat hang on to a 53-44 lead in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Rajon Rondo has an astounding 19 points and five assists, but LeBron is en route to a historic performance with his back against the wall. [...]

Nonsensical blabber at 5 am from a Celtics fan

Dwayne Wade had 27 points.  Lebron James had 30.  The Heat had their home crowd dressed all in white behind them.  Miami out rebounded Boston 49-39.  Paul Pierce shot 6-19.  Ray Allen made just 2 of 9 field goal attempts.  And Rajon Rondo hit only 3 of the 15 shots he put up.  Yet somehow the Celtics won their third straight game in this series. What the Celtics are doing...

Celtics, Heat Draw Highest NBA Cable Rating Ever With Boston's Overtime Win in Game 4

The answer to "Are you watching this?!" with every Rajon Rondo pass, LeBron James frown and ridiculously long timeout on Sunday night was an emphatic yes. Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Celtics and Heat drew a rating of 7.9, a record for an NBA playoff game on cable since tracking began in 2003, according to ESPN. The rating was 20.7 in Boston, which...
