PLAYERS: LeBron James
TEAMS: Miami Heat
I think LeBron was trying to give the perfect motivational quote and it came out wrong. “I have something in me that they took in ’07; beat us on our home floor, celebrated on our home floor,” James said. “I won’t forget that. You shouldn’t as a competitor. You should never forget that. “If you go into my pick-and-roll now, I’m going to shoot. And I’m confident I’m going to make every last one of them,” James said. “I’m a better player and you can’t dare me to do anything I don’t want to do in 2013.” The short version is he is trying to get some revenge on the first team that gave him a L in the Finals. It wasn’t like the Cavs had an opportunity to win the Championship on their floor, they were swept pretty easily by the Spurs. LeBron is a far superior player now, the fact that he even got the 2007 to the Finals was always a miracle to me. That wasn’t a very talented team and LeBron hadn’t hit his prime year. Should be a good series, you can read my prediction here.
