30-year old SG/SF Tony Allen is doing a decent job for the Grizzlies so far this year. Allen has played in 9 games (all starts) for the Grizzlies so far this year and he is averaging 21.9 minutes, 9.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 1.9 steals per game. Without Zach Randolph in the lineup, the Memphis Grizzlies have lost all semblance of order on offense.
A new beginning is all the Grizzlies care about with center-forward Marreese Speights, who they believe is ready to turn the corner.
It’s generally never a good idea to give any NBA player the baseline, let alone Kobe Bryant, who shows Rudy Gay and the Grizz defense that he still has some quickness and hops.
