Per Tania Ganguli, the Magic expect to have their full roster Wednesday night against the Washington Wizards despite minor injuries to Vince Carter, Jameer Nelson and Anthony Johnson.
What will be an issue is the Magic’s ability to stay focused and take some momentum into the playoffs. With just five games remaining on the schedule, Orlando has clinched the second seed in the Eastern Conference and clinched the Southeast Division.
“Last year we didn’t play particularly well the last five or six games,” J.J. Redick said. “We had some injuries, we had some guys out, we rested guys. I think that kind of showed in that Philly series last year.”
Don’t expect an easy game just because the Wizards are 24-53. This is a team with whom the Magic have struggled this season. Orlando is 1-2 against Washington and nearly lost in D.C. last month as well but for some scrappy play by its second team.
