Aside from the sade news that Magic Overtime with Dante & Galante has been canceled after four seasons, most Magic fans are waiting with baited breath over what will happen with Dwight Howard.
Nobody is quite sure how to predict what will occur in the future. What we can do is look back at what happened.
Jarrod Rudolph of RealGM joined Brian Geltzeiler and Jacob Noble of The Pro Basketball Talk to talk about Dwight Howard. It is an hour-long interview so be sure to give all of it a listen:
The juiciest tidbits from Rudolph: the Magic had a long discussion with Howard shortly after the season ended in 2011 and a number of topics were discussed -- including Stan Van Gundy's future and potential roster moves. It seemed, according to Rudolph, that Howard wanted to stay in Orlando but wanted to see the team improve the roster. He wanted to see Stephen Jackson, among other, added to the team and was told before the Draft that Charlotte was not planning to move Jackson...

Magic mum on Howard's future
Dwight Howard is still a member of the Orlando Magic.
It would have been hard to predict that with the acrimonious dialogue between the franchise and the Magic since the end of last season. It seems like reports had Howard out of Orlando on at least two occassions this offseason.
Yet, when Orlando could not find any offers it liked in late June, the Magic put the trade talks...
Magic gripped in paralysis
Everyone wants to move on. Everyone is waiting.
Now that the Magic have a head coach, have a general manager, the next step is undoubtedly to build a team to play. It is already August and the Magic have added only two players to their roster -- Gustavo Ayon and Andrew Nicholson. Kyle O'Quinn remains unsigned, and, more importantly, Dwight Howard remains untraded.
The Magic...

Glen Davis, for one, excited about Jacque Vaughn
The first player Jacque Vaughn likely talked to as he introduced himself to his new team was the only player at Amway Center on Monday afternoon. Dwight Howard: NBA’s Newest Villain
There is no doubting that Lebron James has been scrutinized over the last two years. From his controversial “the decision” special to his telling fans that they have to “wake up to their lives tomorrow” after being eliminated from the NBA finals last year, Lebron James has not made many fans outside of South Beach.
This year however things changed. There was a “passing...
DeVos family reason Vaughn returned
Jacque Vaughn had an undistinguished 12-year career as you could have. He started only 123 of 776 career games and only started more than 41 games just once. That one season was in Orlando in 2003, his only season in Orlando.
Vaughn signed a one-year deal with Orlando in 2002. He left a year later for Atlanta as Orlando was in its surround-Tracy McGrady-with-whatever-they-could...

Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Lakers Should Nab High Seed in West With or Without Dwight Howard Thanks to Shoddy Pacific Division
The Lakers are interested in getting Dwight Howard, because every NBA team's lead executive is contractually obligated to be interested in getting the best center in the game. Also, the Lakers are required to be mentioned in any story involving the biggest stars in the league. The owners snuck that stipulation into the collective bargaining agreement at the last minute. Whether...
