The Recap: Not even a week after the oft-troubled forward Michael Beasley was bought out by the Phoenix Suns, Beasley was linked to his first home, the Miami Heat. A free agent with his NBA-back against the permanent-unemployment wall, because of his poor work ethic and off-court issues, Beasley couldn’t hope for a better situation. Beyond the obvious status of “Defending Champion”, the Miami Heat presents the ideal culture for someone like Michael Beasley, a winning, disciplined, hard-working culture, that expects excellence off the court more than on it. Miami signed Beasley to a non-guaranteed 1 year, veteran’s minimum contract on September 12th.
The Pros: Under this specific situation, the Michael Beasley signing has virtually no risk. Getting Beasley on a non-guaranteed deal is probably the biggest plus for Miami, because they can easily cut bait with him if things don’t p...
