As many Celtics Life regulars know, Sasha Pavlovic was known on this website as "The Serbian Assassin."
But after reading Comcast Sports Net New England's recent article on Darko Milicic, it looks as though Darko is literally ready to take over that moniker:
"I'm done trying to prove I'm the No. 2 pick and that [expletive]
stuff," Milicic told CSNNE.com. "This year, it's all about Celtics, to
show that I am a team player. It's not about me. It's about us as a
Milicic added: "I'll do whatever it takes, whatever I need to do to help
this team. So now, if I have to go kill someone on the court, I'll kill
someone on the court."

New Celtics big man Darko Milicic is tired of all the criticism, so he's now focusing on being a team player, saying he will "kill someone on the court" in order to prove it.
Darko Milicic is a wild card entering this season. And while the former No. 2 overall pick will probably never live up to his draft hype, he's ready and willing to do whatever is asked of him in his first season in Boston. "I'm done trying to prove I'm the No. 2 pick and that [expletive] stuff," Milicic said, according to CSNNE.com. "This year, it's...
Darko Milicic is the definition of a draft bust. The No. 2 overall pick in the 2003 NBA draft, Milicic has averaged only 6.0 points and 4.2 rebounds per game over his nine-year career. He’s played for five different teams and disappointed all of them, with his last coach blasting him for being a slouch. The Celtics have decided to take a chance on Darko and see if he can help their...

The Celtics are going to try and get as much out of former No. 2 overall pick Darko Milicic as they possibly can, but he know's he isn’t the same player. "I stopped chasing the dream of being the second pick a long time ago," said Milicic on Friday at the Celtics' practice facility in Waltham. Milicic was drafted second overall by the Detroit Pistons in 2003,...
Over the years, I've seen some pretty strange quotes by NBA players but this one by newly-acquired Boston Celtics reserve Darko Milicic ranks up there as one of the strangest. In an interview with Comcast Sportsnet New England, he told reporter A. Sherrod Blakely that he might kill someone on the court as a member of the Celtics:"I'm done trying to prove I'm the No...
Darko Milicic signed with the Boston Celtics last week, so like most veterans who have underachieved throughout their career Milicic is in “do whatever helps the team win” mode. Because frankly, he’s just happy to be on a NBA roster.
Milicic attempted to convey that mindset to A. Sherrod Blakely of CSNNE, and in doing so, he was takes things to a homicidal level.
This isn’t a joke. Recently, in an interview with CSNNE.com, Celtics forward Darko Milicic said he is ready to do whatever it takes to help the C’s win this year — even if that means killing somebody.
“I’m done trying to prove I’m the No. 2 pick and that [expletive] stuff,” Milicic told CSNNE.com. “This year, it’s all about Celtics, to show that I am a team player...
Darko Milicic, the center who was recently signed by the Boston Celtics, has said something strange, which is not unusual, even after the strange things he said at media day last week. Milicic is ready to take action and will do “whatever it takes” to help out his new team. Heck, he even went so far as to say that he’ll kill someone in order to help the Celtics achieve greatness...
Darko Milicic was amnestied by the Wolves in July.
NBA training camps have gotten underway this past weekend, with the vast majority of the league holding their annual media day at the start of camp. During a media session for the Boston Celtics Sunday, recently signed big man Darko Milicic dropped some interesting comments regarding his commitment to helping the Celtics win next season: [...]
I was excited to hear that the Celtics had surprisingly signed Darko Milicic last week. I though he would be out of our price range. For the league minimum the 27 year old 7 footer seemed like a steal. Then all the reports came out of Wolves coach Rick Adelman wanting Darko gone as a top goal of the offseason. How Darko was in poor shape and didn't seem to want it out on the...
The poor Buffalo Bills. Its bad enough that they got completely smoked in the second half against the New England Patriots and ended up losing 52-28 but their ball boy got injured diving for a kickoff that went through the back of the end zone. No one circles the wagons..and then watch their wagons be set on fire…like the Buffalo Bills.
The NFL officials were back this weekend...
Definitely the best show yet. Subscribe on iTunes or listen above. ESPN Boston’s Greg Payne and CSNNE’s Jessica Camerato joined me and co-host Ty Ray last night to talk about training camp and Camerato’s recent phenomenal piece on Keyon Dooling. Topics discussed included, but were not limited to: Darko Milicic = badass (kinda) Rajon [...]
