PLAYERS: Iman Shumpert
TEAMS: New York Knicks

Via Larry Brown Sports:

Iman Shumpert recently decided to showcase his support for Adidas by shaving their logo into the back of his head, but the new look didn’t last long. Because of NBA rules, Shumpert is left with nothing but a triangle.

On Saturday, the New York Knicks forward posted a before and after shot on his Instagram account.

“Banned,” the caption read. “(Sorry) @nba didn’t realize there were branding issues wit da logo #iPUToN.”

As SI.com’s The Point Forward pointed out, sporting a corporate logo during games violates Item 5 of Section H in the NBA’s official rule book. Players are only allowed to wear the logo of their choice on their sneakers.

Shumpert is endorsed by Adidas and I’m sure his endorser loved the advertising stunt while it lasted. Such is life when it comes to sports business. If Shumpert wants to get a crazy haircut that looks like this, he’s more than welcome to do so.

Iman Shumpert Shaves Adidas Logo in Hair, Forced to Cut It by NBA (Photo)

The NBA must have something against swag. At least, Knicks guard Iman Shumpert probably thinks so. The former McDonald’s All-American showed some creativity with his trademark high-top fade haircut recently, having his barber shave the Adidas logo into the back of his hair. The NBA quickly swooped in and forced Shumpert to shave the logo off, citing league rules. He posted a before...

Knicks delve into twelve in a row with a big road win in Oklahoma City 125-120

This was a gravy game for the Knicks, I’m not sure anybody expected them to come into Oklahoma City and beat the Thunder. But they have and now consequently have won twelve games in a row. They continue to play their best basketball of the season. This game didn’t disappoint either, the Knicks got a lead in the first quarter and were able to hold it till the fourth. Then it was...
