LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh received their 2011-12 World Championship Miami Heat rings Tuesday night.

The Heat beat the Oklahoma City Thunder last season in five games to win the franchise's second NBA title.

"I'm not going to take this moment for granted," James said via SportsIllustrated.com. "It doesn't happen to everyone. I know the history of the game. I am going to live in the moment. Not going to sit here and say I'm not. It's a special moment for not only our team, for our organization, for the city, whoever's a Miami Heat fan, our families, everything. We'll live in the moment, but we also have some other business to take care of as well."

The rings have the words "All In" and "Family" on each side of them and are filled with a reported 219 diamonds.

James was the last one to receive his ring while the fans chanted "MVP, MVP" inside American Airlines Arena.

Dwyane Wade Proves He’s Still A B****

Dwyane Wade has apparently forgotten that time he tried breaking Rajon Rondo’s arm during the playoffs. So when payback was on deck, Wade gets shook up and tight. “I got my kids watching so I stopped myself but it was a punk play by him,” said Wade, who had a team-best 29 points in the win. “He clotheslined me. I’m here to play basketball, man. If you want to do something...

LeBron James has 82 reasons to play and the 1999 NBA lock-out season is one

The very moment that the  San Antonio Spurs won the 1999 NBA championship against the New York Knickerbockers, media-types everywhere took it with a grain of salt. HoopsDoctor columnist Kevin Burke wrote in his article Did the 1999 Labor Shortened Season Really Count at the time: "An NBA Championship is an NBA Championship no matter how you slice it. I’m sure “The...

Rondo a punk? Doc Rivers points to Wade injuring Rondo's elbow in response

Doc on Wade's "punk play" comment: "Don't forget about Rondo's elbow injury (in 2011 playoffs)…that was created by Dwyane Wade."— Boston Celtics (@celtics) November 1, 2012 Yeah, cause Dwyane Wade has never done a punk move in his life. Seriously, I'm sick of Wade already. I never hated him before the Heat got LeBron and Bosh but since then...

Heat's Superior Depth Before LeBron James' Departure Reveals Celtics' Chemistry Is Work in Progress

The super-deep Celtics team that is supposed to create matchup problems and push the Miami Heat for Eastern Conference supremacy never showed up. If this was the best the Celtics have to throw at the defending champions, then the team in green is in trouble. This is not the final product for the Celtics, however, and one uneven night in October will not doom their season on...

Kevin Garnett cannot fathom how Kevin Durant worked out with LeBron James during NBA offseason

When Kevin Garnett loses in the NBA postseason, I imagine he locks himself in a 4 x 12 room, transforms into something resembling the Incredible Hulk, except harrier, howls at the moon continuously, and drinks nothing but V8 juice all summer just so he can feel as much pain as possible.Given how much he loathes his opponents (remember, he deleted Ray Allen’s phone number this summer...

Your Morning Dump… Where Legler has no problem with Rondo’s hard foul on Wade

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. Much of the talk about Tuesday night centered on Rajon Rondo’s flagrant foul on Dwyane Wade in the closing seconds of the game. Legler did not have an issue with the play. Said Legler: “I look at it as a guy...

Swagger - The Good Old Days

All this talk about Dwyane Wade whining about Rondo's hard foul had me thinking about how basketball used to be played. You know by now that I read a lot of books on Celtics history. I love reading the story about how the Celtics didn't back down from anyone. Those Celtics teams in the old days had some swagger. I know that part of that swagger came from winning, but...

Who's the Punk??

Dwyane Wade called Rajon Rondo's hard foul in the opener a "punk play" and said that only knowing his children were watching kept him from retaliating. Today after practice, Rondo talked a little about the foul although he wouldn't say too much, asking the reporters if they were trying to get him a fine. But he did say at the end of the interview, "I mean...

Miami Heat 2012 Season Preview

(Las Vegas) - It was just a few short months ago when I was traveling from my gorgeous Summerlin, Las Vegas home to Eastern Las Vegas to watch the USA olympic team practice, scrimmage, and prepare themselves for what would eventually be a gold medal in London. 25% of the team, was riddled with members of the Oklahoma City Thunder, who had just lost to the Miami Heat weeks before...

Today's letter Celtics fan is 'P' as in pick-and-roll

Take a deep breathe Celtic fans, and repeat after me: "it is only 1 of 82" and you will be okay.  Remember there would have been a mini-coup in South Beach if LeBron and his special edition golden Nikes had lost on His championship night. That is good, but this is about the Celtics and how they fared. So lets begin. Jeff Green, well it was his first NBA game in over...

Most college football fans and analysts expected South Carolina, coming off of a huge win over highly-ranked Georgia, to have no trouble taking care of Vanderbilt, which has struggled greatly this season under new head coach Derek Mason. But the Commodores raced out to a 14-0 lead on the road and gave the Gamecocks trouble all night. South Carolina eventually gained control of the...

Kansas football Twitter favorites 'fire Weis' tweet

There’s a decent sized contingent of Kansas football fans who want Charlie Weis to be fired.  The Jayhawks’ coach is 5-21 through two-plus seasons in Lawrence and is off to a 1-1 start this fall.  Kansas football’s official Twitter account is apparently in favor of Weis getting canned, too. The account favorited a tweet this afternoon that called for Weis to be fired.  ...
