NBA Injury News:
BEST OF MAXIM
SOME NEVER LEARN
Former first-round draft pick Shawne Williams was arrested on drug charges earlier this week for the third time in five years.
Watson was asked if he ever thought about coming back to the Bulls for a price less than the $3.2 million option the team declined.
“My agent said something about that, but I never thought about coming back,” Watson said.
Between the fact that his option was declined and the response he received from fans after passing to Asik in the final seconds of Game 6 against the Philadelphia...
It’s not uncommon for NBA refs to halt the free throw shooting process of a player for something like a substitution or even a last-second timeout.
Some refs prefer the player not shoot the free throw at all, while other refs don’t seem to give a s**t one way or the other.
Well, Courtney Kirkland gave a s**t. I mean, he REALLY, REALLY didn’t want Kris Humphries to take a free...

In last night’s double overtime game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Detroit Pistons, Joe Johnson did exactly what he was brought in to do — hit big shots. Tied at 105-105 with 5.8 seconds left, Johnson inbounded the ball to point guard Deron Williams. Williams then handed it right back to Johnson and the all-star shooting guard took a few dribbles then pulled up for a step...
NEW YORK -- The Brooklyn Nets managed to blow an early double-digit lead Friday, this time a 17-point second quarter advantage. But they somehow found a way to pull out a 107-105 win in double overtime over the visiting Detroit Pistons, thanks to the heroics of shooting guard Joe Johnson. Johnson, acquired in the offseason in a multi-player trade with the Atlanta Hawks, was back...
C.J. Watson never considered re-signing with the Bulls as a free agent in the offseason.
NEW YORK (AP) -- Joe Johnson made a jumper from just inside the arc as time expired in the second overtime, giving the Brooklyn Nets a 107-105 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Friday night.
Johnson finished with 28 points for the Nets, scoring their final five in the second extra period. Gerald Wallace added 25 points and 10 rebounds.
Deron Williams scored 17 points and Andray...
Gerald Wallace blocked most of Chicago’s dunk attempts on Saturday, but Joakim Noah did manage to get one down over Brook Lopez. This means that both Lopez twins have appeared on the posterized list this season, which comes as a surprise to exactly no one…
Honorable mention to the Clippers. They didn’t directly posterize anyone, but they dunked all over the Bucks.
Brooklyn Nets guard Joe Johnson put on a dribbling exhibition for Pistons forward Tayshaun Prince before calmly stepping back and ending last night's double overtime game with this shot.

Went to see the Nets play at Barclays Center on Friday night. This is pretty much my one NBA game that I go to every four years. The Nets winning on a Joe Johnson buzzer beater in double overtime pretty much ensured that this would be the greatest basketball game I've seen live, ever. Shows you how many basketball games I've been to.
What struck me going there, on Friday...
