Brooklyn Nets MarShon Brooks was expected to be out for seven-to-ten days but it is reported that he will play in tonight's game against the Boston Celtics. That means he cam back a couple of days earlier than predicted. He had been sidelined for tendinitis in his right foot. Earlier today, Tim Bontemps of the NY Post said that it is likely that MarShon Brooks plays today. The second-year shooting guard, who has been out of action for a week with right foot tendinitis, will play in Thursday night’s nationally televised preseason game if he makes it through shootaround without any complications, Nets coach Avery Johnson said.It seems as if Brooks did not have any problems, as Nets beat writer Stefan Bondy tweeted that Brooks will play today.MarShon Brooks will play his first game tonight, had been suffering from foot tendinitis.— Stefan Bondy (@NYDNInterNets) October 18, 2012Brooks had a tremendous rookie season compared to where he was selected and will likely be the sixth man off the bench to start the season provided he is fully healthy. In his rookie season, Brooks averaged 12.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists to go with 42.8% shooting from the field. He had a tendency to call isos, even as a rookie, which could be seen as a positive in terms of confidence. But with a real team around him, it will be interesting to see how he matures and adapts coming off the bench again after starting 47 out of the 56 games he played.Follow @hoopsinjurynews!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://www.nbainjurynews.com//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs"); var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-34100676-1']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']); (function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? NBA 2012-13 preseason: The best players in the Atlantic Division

As part of my NBA preseason rankings I will be ranking the best players by position in each division. Here’s the Atlantic division.PG Rajon Rondo- Boston Celtics- 11.9 pts. 11.7 ast. His offensive game has expanded immensely since coming into the NBA. His jump shot isn’t great, but much more efficient than it used to be. He’s also one of the best passers in the game, and I...

Comments From the Other Side - Nets 10/18

Nets fans sound a bit different than they did after their team blew out the Celtics.  Lots of hate for Deron Williams.  When fans are longing to have Gerald Green back, you know there are problems.  Of course there are the wheelchair comments after Pierce came up limping after he was shoved into the photographers by Joe Johnson.  Funny, he didn't seem to have that mean streak...

For those wondering if Leandro Barbosa will be playing in tonight's Boston Celtics vs. Brooklyn Nets game, the answer is no (according to CSNNE's Sherrod Blakely, who was asked about it on Twitter earlier today).
