General manager Billy King announced the signing Tuesday without releasing terms of the deal.
The Nets acquired the 6-foot-10 native of the Republic of Georgia from Philadelphia in exchange for cash considerations. He was selected in the second round (54th overall) of this year's draft.

Tornike Shengelia played the 2011-12 season for Belgacom Spirou where he averaged 8.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 18.4 minutes in 20 Belgium League games.
