Losing Rajon Rondo hasn't yet posed a problem for the Boston Celtics.
That may change against the hottest team in the NBA - the Denver Nuggets.
The Celtics attempt to win a seventh game in a row without their All-Star point guard Sunday night and prevent the Nuggets from a 10th straight victory.
Just over two weeks ago, Boston (26-23) appeared to be headed in the wrong direction, losing a season-high six in a row with Rondo in the lineup. He suffered a season-ending knee injury in the final game of that skid and the Celtics' season seemed to be on the verge of falling apart.
However, instead of falling further back in the playoff race, Boston has regrouped to win six in a row without its offensive catalyst, the NBA leader in assists and triple doubles and one of the best rebounding guards in the league.
In the six games since losing Rondo, the Celtics have outscored opponents by an average of 102.8-92.8 and hit 49.1 percent of their shots.

Orthopedists weigh in on Rajon Rondo's recovery from ACL reconstruction surgery.
In a statement from an L.A. based out-patient surgery center, doctors who perform the same surgery Rondo is expected to go through talk about what he can expect and how long his recovery should take.

After a brief burst of “maybe Rondo will return quicker than we think” stuff last night, it’s now obvious his season is over.
Spears added that Rondo has “spoken to three doctors...
After tearing his ACL, Rajon Rondo was expected to miss the rest of the season with the hope being that he could return in time for the start of training camp next season. However, Rondo has discovered that the tear is only a partial tear and he may be able to return sooner. How much sooner? There isn't an exact timeframe yet, but if we read between the lines, the indication...
Our Boston Celtics have not lost a game since the double OT loss in Atlanta on January 25th. It was the last game Rajon Rondo has played this season, and likely the last NBA game he will play until some point in the 2013-2014 NBA season. Seven straight wins. No Rajon Rondo (or Jared Sullinger). How has this been possible without our best player, and one of the best and most unique...

As previously prior to Sunday’s game against LeBron James and the Miami Heat, the elite point guard received word that he tore his ACL and will be out for the rest of the 2012-13 season.
Now it’s not as major as it looked and sounded. Rondo has what is a partially tear –instead a full tear– will be back sooner...
The outlook was bleak.
Rajon Rondo's season-ending knee injury was certain to hurt the Celtics hopes for a playoff berth. How could Boston possibly survive without its offensive catalyst, the NBA leader in assists and triple-doubles and one of the best rebounding guards in the league?
But not only have the Celtics survived, they've thrived.
They're 6-0 since Rondo...
Let’s be honest. Right now, the Celtics are looking the best they have in a long time. They have won their last six games including an embarrassment of the Los Angeles Lakers. Why is this so significant? Because the Celtics are “Rondo-less”.
Some are suggesting that the Celtics should trade Rondo, that they are fine without him. To these people, I say, “No.”. Don’t get...
Things appeared pretty grim for the Boston Celtics just a few weeks ago.
Rajon Rondo went down with a torn knee ligament, and the team's playoff hopes took a major hit.
Well, the Celtics haven't lost in the seven games since and their latest victory proved they're going to be tough to beat - even without their star point guard. Paul Pierce had 27 points, 14 rebounds...

The Boston Celtics won their seventh straight game Sunday, this one a triple overtime epic against the Denver Nuggets. It was another bar fight for a Celtics team that has become accustomed to them over the past two seasons. Even in the wake of that game, the major national story remains the same...

Rajon Rondo, Jared Sullinger, and now Leandro Barbosa will miss the rest of the 2012-13 season after losing his footing on a stopping motion towards the basket during Monday’s loss 94-91.
Kevin Garnett reported to CSNNE’s A. Sherrod Blakely that they received news that Barbosa will not play again in this season.

Six straight wins have lifted the Celtics three games over .500, and into 7th place in the Eastern Conference. Not ideal playoff position by many stretch, but the team has flourished since losing Rajon Rondo for the season, and it seems they've done enough to impress team President Danny Ainge. According to Ric Bucher, Ainge has taken note of the recent stretch, propelled by...
After the ACL tear of point guard Rajon Rondo, many stuck a fork into the Boston Celtics season. With aging stars up and down the roster, many assumed the Celtics should start trying to trade some assets for young pieces and the future. After cooling off the NBA's hottest team in their last game, the Boston Celtics will try to extend their winning streak against the team with the league's worst record.
The Celtics look to win their eighth game in a row since All-Star point guard Rajon Rondo went down on Monday night when they visit the Charlotte Bobcats, losers of seven straight.

The Celtics destroyed the Los Angeles Lakers last night at TD Garden 116-95 in an impressive display of ball movement and aggressive defense, while the Lakers folded quickly, with only Kobe Bryant (27 points) being competitive.
