San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker is going to have a busy offseason. In fact, it's already been pretty frantic.

He's participated in Spurs camps, he's been in the middle of a bar fight between two hip-hop stars and their entourages (though there is absolutely nothing to suggest he got physical at all) and now he's getting ready to start training for the London Olympics.  Parker told FIBA.com that the team had a great season, but that doesn't mean they call it a successful one.

"We had an incredible regular season. We played very good basketball all season long and we got to the playoffs feeling very confident. We had two very good first rounds against the Utah Jazz and the LA Clippers, but we failed in the Conference Finals by losing to Oklahoma City. I’m very disappointed because our goal was to win the NBA title, but we lost against to an incredible team."

Parker also said he had a great individual season, but he wouldn't call it his best season because the Spurs didn't win the title.  Next up for Parker is training for the Olympics and then the games itself, which he calls a dream come true.

"For me, it’s a huge accomplishment. I’m so proud to go to the Olympics and represent my country. It’s a dream come true. I remember when I was a young kid, while watching the Dream Team play in the 1992 Olympics, I said to myself, “I want to play in the Olympics.” Now, I have the opportunity to take part in this competition. That’s incredible for my teammates and I."

Team France might be the odds on favorite to take bronze.  It's probably a three team race between France, Brazil and Argentina (three teams that feature Spurs players, by the way).  Who will you pull for if France squares off against Argentina or Brazil for the Bronze?  I'll root for either South American team because well, rooting for France hasn't been the right thing to do for about 50 years.
