Patrick Ewing Jr. has signed with Spanish club Blancos de Rueda Valladolid until the end of this season. The 28-year-old son of the former New York Knicks great is coming from Telekon Bonn, the German team where he played the first half of the 2012-13 campaign. Like his father, Ewing played at Georgetown University. He was drafted by the Sacramento Kings in 2008, but spent most of his career in the NBA's developmental league. He made seven appearances for the New Orleans Hornets in 2010-11. Valladolid is 14th in the 18-team Spanish league. The senior Ewing was a member of the United States' ''Dream Team'' that won the gold medal in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.

Hornets rookie Anthony Davis throws down alley-oop against Houston (Video)

Due to an early-season injury, we here at That NBA Lottery Pick haven't done a whole lot of coverage on New Orleans Hornets rookie Anthony Davis. However, it was only a matter of time until a Davis alley-oop would come into our lives that we could marvel at. During last night's Rockets/Hornets game, watch as Hornets guard Greivis Vasquez finds Davis for the athletic two-handed jam:

The Hornets, who won their third consecutive game, trailed 69-59 entering the fourth quarter, but Mason caught fire. Mason...

NEW ORLEANS -- With nine NBA seasons under his belt, reserve shooting guard Roger Mason is the elder statesman of the youthful New Orleans Hornets, who have 11 players with two years or less of pro experience. Even though Mason had played just five minutes in the previous two games -- both of them victories -- the veteran was ready Wednesday night when Hornets coach Monty Williams...

The news that Samardo Samuels had been waived by the Cavaliers this weekend was a major bummer. I enjoyed Samardo playing in Cleveland over the last few years and will miss having him around.  On the Stepien Rules Facebook page I went into more detail this morning. I only bring it up here, too, in order to enter these sentiments for the record. The Rudy Gay...
