Many Suns fans in the stands at US Airways Center on Wednesday night were probably wondering, “Is it baseball season yet?” Phoenix got down early in the game and could never recover in their 103-83 loss to the Sixers to drop their record to 0-2 on the season for the first time in 15 years. The Suns might have put together one of their worst efforts on the offensive end in the Steve Nash Era. They did end up shooting nearly 42 percent from the field, but that is a deceiving total considering the last 18 minutes of the game were considered to be garbage time. Phoenix was down by a manageable 14 points at halftime, but a 19-0 run by Philadelphia to start the second half made a manageable deficit into one that was impossible to come back from. The Suns didn’t score until more than six minutes had come off the clock and things were so bad for the offense that I thought Alvin Gentry was going to have to call out people from the stands to see if they could make some jumpe...

WeAreSuns crew reacts to Phoenix Suns’ 86-85 loss to New Orleans

www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bWixIgwkhs On the final play the Suns had Nash inbound the ball to Morris at the high post, then had Nash run off screens on the opposite side. Morris’ cross-court pass was tipped out of bounds and the Suns never got a shot off. Your thoughts? Matty P: Confusing play. Why risk a cross-court pass? Why have a rookie throw the pass? Looks like Gentry...

Suns drop to 0-2, search to explain offensive struggles

In recent years, the Phoenix Suns have been known for, above all else, having an uptempo and elite offense. Win or lose, and no matter the season’s ultimate result, the team never struggled to score with Steve Nash running a descendant of Mike D’Antoni’s offense. Through two games in this young season, however, offense has…

I've got 2 big balls T... “T does his best work in the paint” -TO   Rick Rubio Rubio didn’t start for the wolves, but he did manage to play 26 minutes and finished with 6 points, 6 assists, and 5 boards, all without a TO.  He made some flashy bounce passes and showed why he has had the comparisons to Pistol Pete and Steve Nash.  He may not light up the score...

Recap: New Orleans vs. Phoenix

Hakim Warrick netted a game-high 18 points, while Steve Nash had seven with 12 assists to lead the Phoenix Suns past the New Orleans Hornets, 93-78.

Rebounding

As expected (at least by myself) Sixers followed the bitter loss in Portland with a nice, wire-to-wire 83-103 W in Phoenix, and now lead the Atlantic at 1-1 (.500), LOL.Not much to recap after such game, the Suns were soundly outplayed in almost every aspect of the game.Suns starters, "led" by an unrecognizable Steve Nash combined for a pitiful 7/33 from the field, which...
