At 17-36, the Phoenix suns aren’t having the most successful year on the court, but they’re sure making a difference off the court – just ask 12-year-old, Jonah Zahm.
Zahm, who suffers from an an extremely rare seizure disorder (he takes 10-15 pills a day just to limit seizures), didn’t just get to meet his favorite team at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, he was signed to a one-day contract worth at least $5,000. I’m sure he’d tell you it was the best day of his life as he arrived to the arena by limousine, was introduced to the press, and laced up his Jordan’s to join the Suns’ shootaround.
According to Paul Coro, AZ Central:
This was Blanks’ best signing. He presented Zahm with a contract for a day, worth at least $5,000 if he can find a lawyer to make it binding.
“Today is an exciting day in Suns basketball,” Blanks said. “I have the honor of introducing what I think will be the greatest Sun for a day in history.”
