Here we are again, Portland Trail Blazers fans. Sitting through the start of another promising season in 2013-2014. Every year, predictions come out and we all listen to the radio and our loved/hated radio personalities as well as talk shows around the television. Whereas many fans I know are talking about this 2013-2014 season and what it could or should bring, I feel the need to inform them to not look short term and actually look somewhat longer term into the Blazers future, which is where the 2015-2016 season comes into focus. What is the most significant thing that has happened to the Blazers from last year? It is not getting help for the bench. It was not the renaming of the Rose Garden to the Moda Center. It obviously did not happen on draft night, which I am still waiting to wake up from. I loved the days of KP (Kevin Pritchard) and all the wheeling and dealing, it was exciting to hear what was going on. I loved KP and still do. He’s now working Indiana and obviously doi...

Nic Batum feels bad about triple double against Spurs (Video)

Portland Trail Blazers forward Nic Batum got a triple double during Saturday night's 115-105 win over the San Antonio Spurs, but felt really bad about it afterwards. With the Blazers holding a 112-105 lead in the final seconds, Batum had 8 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. As the clock wound down, Batum casually threw up a 25-foot shot towards the basket just before the...

Aldridge Happy Remaining With Blazers, Encouraged By Roster

LaMarcus Aldridge has entered the phase of his career where he can longer be patient on waiting to play for a contending team. The Portland Trail Blazers have upgraded their roster under Neil Olshey, but remain a fringe playoff team. "I'm happy here right now," Aldridge told USA TODAY Sports in an exclusive interview. "I feel like we have a team that can win, that...

The Portland Timbers Are The Trail Blazers’ Nightmare

Chris McGowen has been a breath of fresh air as President of the Portland Trail Blazers. McGowen has operated with more transparency than his predecessor Larry Miller. He has been aggressive in expanding the portfolio of the Blazers, introducing Arena Football, thinking about the NHL and opening new revenue streams like selling the naming rights of the Rose Garden to Moda. One...

LaMarcus Aldridge Says He’s Happy In Portland “Right Now”

I’m not sure anybodies name has been dangled around in trade rumors more than LaMarcus Aldridge. Blazers general manager Neil Olshey has been on record denying that he’s considered trading the 2-time all-star. The problem is that Portland is in that dangerous “gray area”, which basically means they aren’t good enough to make a title run, but not bad enough to gather a top...

Nicolas Batum Shoots 3 At Buzzer Of Secured Win Vs. Spurs To Get Triple-Double (Video)

With just seconds remaining in the Blazers-Spurs game Saturday night and a Portland win secure , Nicolas Batum, 2 points shy of a triple-double (8 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists), showed some bad judgement as he shot a three-pointer in an attempt to complete the rare stat. Well, he was successful as he nailed the long-range shot, but Tim Duncan did not look too pleased. This...

Football Fans Will Die Quietly In Portland

Well here we go again football fans. It is safe to assume that we have all come to the conclusion that Portland will never get an NFL team. Seattle is our home team and always will be for most of us...
