It’s Pan Am Silver For Canada Basketball

Team Canada looked like they had never been in a really big game before and Brazil just did what they had been doing all tournament, so it was Pan Am Silver for the team that had never won a medal at this tournament. Brazil has now taken home Gold in four of the past five events. "I think we grew up throughout the tournament and throughout this game," Team Canada head coach Jay Triano said.

Brady Heslip Shoots Canada Past Dominican 105-88

This game was never in doubt after the first quarter. Team Canada shot 55 percent from the field versus 42 percent for the Dominican Republic. Head coach Jay Triano has to be very happy after this game that Brady Heslip (24 points) left NBA Summer League just in time to become a last minute addition to Team Canada.
