Lebron-james-part-time

In case you hadn’t been reading these blogs before, I imposed a self ban from talking about the Miami Heat as a collective unit and their constant struggles because I was tired of writing the same thing day in day out, and assumed you were tired of hearing it.

Following last night’s performance against Portland, I will not be lifting my ban on discussing the Miami Heat and will stick to the issues this site is centered around, LeBron James.

I will be blogging later today about a couple of comments made to the media following the Portland game so make sure you check back in for that, they won’t be kind words.

James had a pretty impressive game, despite playing fairly lackluster defense at times and missing a couple of shots down the stretch. He put up a near triple double with 31 points 11 rebounds and 8 assists, shooting 14/20 from the field and 2/4 from three. Surprisingly James only went to the line 4 times, making only 1 shot. These are the kinds of games I have been talking about that restrict LeBron from ever becoming a solid 80-85% free throw shooter throughout a season.

If you missed the game, check out the highlights, LeBron severely broke Nick Batum’s (who is a top defender) ankles and hit a contested jumper from the wing. He and Wade (38 points 6 rebounds 5 assists) put on a show and you could see really were giving it everything they had to get Miami over the hump. Unfortunately again they were let down by unnamed by obvious parties, one of which I will discuss following his post game comments in the next blog that will be up in the coming hours.

Lakers on Thursday. If you’re religious then pray for the Heat. They are going to need all the help they can get.
