Over the next couple weeks, we will be projecting who finishes where in the Eastern Conference this season. From last place to first, yesterday was the Charlotte Bobcats, today the Orlando Magic.#14: Orlando Magic The Orlando Magic have officially gone from one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference, to one of the worst. All because of one player: Dwight Howard. Unlike Lebron James, Howard allowed the Magic time to trade him because he eventually said he was not going to re-sign with them. Because of this, the Magic received a couple players and some first round picks as compensation for Howard in a multi-team trade. Unfortunately, the Magic will be in rebuilding mode for many seasons to come. Howard not only averaged a double-double, but he was also always one of the top defensive players in the game for ...

The slogan consists of two words and one vague...

Optimism

There is a lot going on this season. A lot for Magic fans to digest and a lot of change that is coming throughout the entire franchise. We are entering a new frame of thinking in this franchise's history. Or at least we hope so. The "please-me-now" culture that has pervaded the franchise and its decision making for the better part of two decades is changing with Rob...

Lakers, Clippers Battle for Staples Center Supremecy as NBA's Pacific Division Favorites

The Los Angeles Lakers stole all the headlines this offseason when they acquired Dwight Howard and Steve Nash. They were already a championship contender to begin with, but the addition of Howard, who is universally regarded as the best center in the NBA, and Nash, a likely Hall of Fame point guard, has made the Lakers the favorite in the West. The Lakers' in-city rivals are...

Nuggets a new challenger in the West?

A lot was made this summer of the Dwight Howard trade, mostly about Dwight in LA and a little bit of Andrew Bynum in Philadelphia and a little bit about how awful the Orlando Magic are going to be (they're going to be really awful).  Not a ton of has been made of the fourth team involved in the Howard trade, the Denver Nuggets.  The Nuggets turned Aaron Afflalo and Al Harrington...

Proof Derek Fisher Is Working Out With The Lakers

Yes, this is a video of Dwight Howard working on his hook shot, but I’m bored of Dwight. At least until the season starts. What’s more interesting here is that you can see Fisher practicing with the Lakers in the background. I know they say he isn’t signing with them, but c’mon. Do you Lakers fans want to see Fish back in purple and yellow?

Dorell Wright thinks Bynum is better than Howard

Like Andrew Bynum Dorell Wright was acquired by the Philadelphia 76ers this summer. Recently Wright had some very high praise for his new teammate Bynum. Last season Wright played for the Golden State Warriors, who were in the same division as Bynum. So Wright got to see Bynum talents on a regularly bases. Of course we know by now that this summer the Lakers traded...
