As the Boston Celtics 2013 season continues its topsy-turvy trajectory, everyone’s still guessing whether or not they’ll make it to the playoffs. Rondo is out but the Celts seem to be on fire! The Celtics defense broke out of inconsistency to propel the team to a run of better performances against Philadelphia, the Trail Blazers and 76ers.
The Celtics’ longest winning streak this term has been three games, which when combined with point-guard Rajon Rondo’s ridiculous shoving of the Nets’ Kris Jeffiries and the resultant 2-game suspension might add up to a very poor season.
Fortunately, the Celts beat the OK Thunder 108-100, before going on to claim an overtime victory over Orlando in Florida. Rondo will now be back, and the whole silly Nets issue put behind them, so let’s hope the Celtics don’t buckle and continue this progress. The win over upstarts Portland didn’t hurt either, with Jeff Green really doing the business by scoring 19 points.

The Hawks Josh Smith took home the East's "Player of the Week" honors (Blake Griffin won for the Western Conference) by putting up 21 points and 12 rebounds per game, while also leading Atlanta to a 3-0 record. Rajon Rondo was nominated for the award after averaging 13.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 12 assists over 3 games, as well as posting one historic triple double...

Welp, it’s a little late, but consider this a “late-night snack”. I was trying to find this pic all day, and the folks at Celtics Fanchat tweeted it just now. It’s our own Rajon Rondo talking with Patriots great Matt Light last night at Foxboro.
The Celtics blew away their lead in the fourth quarter, but Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce lifted the Celtics to a 117-115 win over the Mavs in 2OT. That ends Dallas’s three-winning streak on its tracks. O.J. Mayo and Darren Collison combined for 40 points and willed their team back into the game, but it [...]
Rajon Rondo came out to support the home team New England Patriots as they took on the 11-1 Houston Texans at Gillette Stadium Monday night. The Celtics guard got the best seat in the house, cheering from the sideline where he sported a #83 Wes Welker jersey, the same one he’s worn to previous games. Head coach Doc Rivers was in attendance as well where he sat in on Belichick’s...
Russ Smith spoke to the media following his career high 31 point performance against UMKC. Russ said watching Rajon Rondo the day before helped motivate him to try and do more than just score points. Smith also had 7 rebounds, 5 rebounds and 5 steals.

* The All Star game is first and foremost a popularity contest, when it comes to the starting lineups. Fans vote for the biggest names and year after year the same players are voted as starters. Coaches usually make the right decisions when it comes to picking the reserves, but this list is based only on their play, importance to their team and of course statistics. These are the...
On Wednesday night the Celtics hosted the Dallas Mavericks. Coming into the game the big storyline featured Jason Terry as he matched up against his former team for the first time since joining the Celtics this off season. Although Terry said it was just another game it's been well documented he wasn't pleased when the call never came for him to resign with the Mavs. In...
