The Globe and Mail reported Sunday that the Raptors have signed free agent 6′8” forward/center Joey Dorsey who was waived by Sacramento last week for the remainder.
Dorsey was the 33rd pick of out Memphis in the ‘08 NBA draft by the Portland Trail Blazers and was then traded to the Houston Rockets for the draft rights to Nicolas Batum who was the 26th pick that year.
Dorsey was dealt to the Sacramento Kings in a big 3 team trade on 18 February which sent Tracy McGrady to the New York Knicks.
He has also spent parts of the past 2 seasons in the NBA D-League with the Rockets affiliate.
