Rasheed Wallace has not played in the NBA since 2010. That year he was a member of the Boston Celtics. His last game played was game 7 of the NBA finals, in which the Lakers defeated the Celtics. In that game Wallace finished with 11 points on 5 of 11 shooting from the field.
Later that year the Celtics bought Wallace out and he decided to retire, but now could he be making a comeback to play in 2012. Right now Wallace is 38 years old, but Wallace was seen working out with New York Knicks Marcus Camby and Kurt Thomas. He is reportedly trying to make a comeback for this season and the Knicks are considering him for a roster spot. This all according to a tweet by ESPN’s Ric Bucher.

The big question is what kind of shape is Wallace in? If Wallace did sign with the Knicks it would have to be for the veteran’s minimum. He would add depth to the Knicks frontcourt wit...

Though the Knicks will bring 19 players into training camp next week, only 13 players will hit the hardwood with guaranteed contracts. This means two roster spots will be up grabs, be it amongst the camp invitees or even outside players looking in.Though they've worked out a few various young guns at the training facility in the recent weeks, the team also hosted veteran and...
I miss Doc Funk's pics. Maybe he will come out of retirement too.
It wouldn't be another NBA season without more rumors surfacing of Rasheed Wallace coming out of retirement. But according to ESPN's Ric Bucher, 'Sheed is in the Big Apple working out for the New York Knicks:

That would be one helluva front line for 2001.
File under: the Knicks being the Knicks.
The New York Knicks are considering signing Rasheed Wallace.
That is the joke.
Actually, it is not a joke. Ric Bucher broke this hilarious news Sunday.
I am not even going to pretend to break down what Sheed can give a team at this point. He is 38 (which is still younger than current Knicks Kurt Thomas, Jason Kidd and Marcus Camby) and a good, oh let's say...
The New York Knicks kicked the tires on Rasheed Wallace recently, and presumably they’re still flat and tattered—the Knicks, that is. And maybe Wallace’s tires, too.
While we’re making assumptions, though, I will say Rasheed could probably help a few teams in the NBA out (superb defensive instincts and 82 inches of height don’t belong to just anybody). The Knicks just...
After working out the dusty and volatile power forward, the New York Knicks are considering signing Rasheed Wallace to add even more size to their roster. The 6-foot-11, 230 pound Wallace, who the Washington Bullets took with the fourth pick … Continue reading →
Rasheed Wallce could bring added toughness to the New York Knicks.
Rasheed Wallace hasn’t played in the NBA since the 2009-10 season with the Boston Celtics. It is curious that the New York Knicks would look to bring in the 38 year old veteran to add more depth to the front court.
The Knicks main choice seemed to be Kenyon Martin as the backup power forward but Martin seems to...

That’s the rumor. He was caught working out with Camby and Thomas up in the NYK practice facility. And word is, the Knicks are interested.
Sheed is always welcome back in the NBA. Always
The New York Knicks are reportedly interested in adding the 38-year-old Rasheed Wallace to their already seasoned roster.
According to multiple sources, Wallace was not in very good shape when he worked out with the Knicks last week.

You last saw Rasheed Wallace in June of 2010. He was 35 then, and admittedly out of shape. Presently, Sheed is 38, two full seasons removed from NBA basketball, and working out with the New York Knicks. Wait, what?
According to ESPN’s Ric Bucher, Rasheed worked out with Knickerbocker veterans Marcus Camby and Kurt Thomas on Saturday, and the team is “considering” its...
With the Knicks' roster looking set (except for occasional Rasheed Wallace rumor) heading into training camp next week, the team is looking to put the finishing touches on its coaching staff.Frank Isola of the New York Daily News reported that the Knicks are hiring Dave Hopla to fill a vacant seat on the team's bench. Hopla, a well-know shooting consultant, will reportedly...
As the football team comes off their second win of the season, defeating East Carolina 27 to 6, and prepare for their next game, a home encounter against Idaho, I will break off from the gridiron to give news about the hardwoods. A former North Carolina basketball player, Rasheed Wallace, who is 38 and has not been playing in the National Basketball Association since the `09-`10...
The New York Knicks are looking to sign the likes of Rasheed Wallace or Kenyon Martin soon. You can’t get around it: the four and five positions were really shallow last year and it showed. When Chandler and Stoudemire weren’t on the floor the paint opened up for business.
Mike Woodson is looking to change that around by adding the right pieces. With an emphasis on right.
Rasheed Wallace worked out at the Knicks' facility last week and has a good relationship with Mike Woodson from their time together with the Pistons.
