State Of The Celtics:
This shouldn't come as a huge surprise as the Celtics will make sure that Ray's as close to 100 percent as possible before bringing him back. We knew going into the season that, for the vast majority of the C's, it will take a little longer for them to recover from these types of bumps and bruises. In addition, A. Sherrod Blakely informed us that Ray and his wife are "expecting a new addition"
any day now, so a quick congratulations goes out to the Allen family.
On a positive note in regards to Celtics injuries, the Boston Globe is reporting
that Rajon Rondo is expected to return for Thursday's game against the Magic and Keyon Dooling may return for the game as well. Those two injuries was the reason why Avery Bradley has been given a ton of minutes over the last few games and some chances to show what he can really do. He did just that by giving Jameer Nelson fits all game last night. Expect Bradley to see some more minutes on Thursday regardless of the statuses of Rondo and Dooling, just for defensive purposes alone.

Boston Celtics guard Ray Allen left Sunday's game against the Washington Wizards with an ankle injury.
Allen was hurt in the second quarter when he collided with Wizards rookie Jan Vesely. He did not return.
X-rays were negative on Allen, who said he felt tightness and pain in the ankle but would attempt to play in Monday's game against Orlando.

Despite missing five players due to injury - including Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen and Mickael Pietrus - the Celtics played arguably their greatest game of the entire season, manhandling the Orlando Magic at the TD Garden 87-56. The Magic drop to 11-5 as the Celtics improve to 7-9. It is the first time all season the Celtics have beaten an opponent with a winning record.

Without Rajon Rondo in the line up and Ray Allen being sidelined in the first half due to injury, today's game was there for Washington's taking. Instead, the only thing the Wiz Kids got was a steady dose of Paul Pierce. The future hall of famer had a game high 34 points and 10 assists in his best game this season for the C's and lead his team to a 100-94 victory over...
The Boston Celtics will be without starters Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo and three bench players, severely depleting their roster for Monday night's game against the Orlando Magic. Boston coach Doc Rivers delivered the news about an hour before the game. Allen jammed his left ankle in the second quarter of Sunday's win at Washington and didn't return.
Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo are among five Celtics out for Monday's game against the Magic.
Let me begin by apologizing for not recapping the Celtics' win over Washington on Sunday. In fact, let me do that now. Paul Pierce was good. The Wizards are the craptastic. End of summary.
On to tonight, where the Celtics strutted out a lineup that I'm pretty sure included Huey, Duey and Louie. They then proceeded to absolutely embarrass the bejesus out of the Orlando...
Out of 6 wins, 3 of those are against the Wizards. When do we get to play them again??? Good discussion of Pierce's value. Some love him and some hate him but none can deny his talent. I love that they find solace in not being Toronto :) Enjoy today's Comments from the Other Side. They are definitely more fun when we win! (And a Hat Tip to DH for the new graphic...

Any chance we could get in on a Paul Pierce or Ray Allen deal? Supposedly Ainge is interested in creating cap space to retool next season.

I'm curious to see what happens at the trade deadline this year. I feels like their could be quite a bit of movement with Dwight, Celtics, Rockets, whoever.
