The Celtics are on their way to Minnesota and it looks like Ray Allen is getting a lot closer to playing. He was on the team flight, which means there's a good chance he could play. Last night, he was out at his usual time going through his usual warm ups when he made the call that he couldn't go, so it's clear he's close.
Mickael Pietrus, however, is not so close. He's still feeling the effects of the concussion he suffered against the Sixers.
"He still has concussion symptoms and until he's asymptomatic, no headaches and no sensitivity to light, we won't even be able to test him," Ainge said. "The league has implemented new procedures once he becomes asymptotic and he's not there yet, although he is improving each day."
Danny added that the C's would know more within the next four or five days.
I think the goal here for the C's is to get Pietrus back and ready for the playoffs. The season ends in less ...

Ray Allen Could Return Friday to Celtics, Who Have Changed During His Four-Game Absence
Ray Allen could return on Friday, which is good news for the Celtics even if they are 3-1 in his absence. Allen traveled with the Celtics for their one-game road trip to Minnesota, so that could be an indication that he will play for the first time since missing last Friday's game in Philadelphia with a sore ankle. If Allen can go, expect Celtics coach Doc Rivers to pencil him...

Should the Celtics think about Ray Allen as the 6th Man?
Ray Allen participated in the team shoot around and is expected to be reinserted into the Celtics starting lineup tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Yes, despite the title of this article I do think this is a good thing. Comments from the other side - Jazz 3/28
Lots of KG hate from Jazz fans. It's funny how different fan bases hate different players. In Utah it's KG, in Chicago it's Rondo, in other places it's Pierce and in a few places it's even Ray Allen. Glad at least one fan stuck up for KG, though. For all their complaints about the refs and them not getting any calls, they shot 3 more free throws than...
