Found December 25, 2012 on Red's Army:
The Celtics score an impressive 93-76 win over the Nets in Brooklyn on Christmas Day. Boston was in quite the battle for most of the 1st half, but pulled away in the end behind some great defense and a total team effort. Rajon Rondo led all-scorers with 19 points to go along with 5 assists & 6 boards. More importantly, he only had 1 turnover and 3 steals. Although the key scorers in KG & Truth were quiet, with 8 points each, it was their defense and passing that was key. But the story here was the combo of Sully & Green- (more on them in a minute) they combined for 31 points off the bench.  The Green: Jared Sullinger had easily his best game as a pro. He battled with the bigger and longer Lopez all day, and held his own. His 7 rebounds and 16 points were crucial in today’s win. This kid just seems to get better every game. Jeff Green was also great today. Jeff hit a big 3 to put the C’s up 15 with 4 minutes left and quell any last hopes the Nets had. He put in 15 points ...

An open apology to Jeff Green

Dear Mr. Green, I would like to start off by saying how truly sorry I am for my actions over the past two months since the start of the 2012-13 NBA Regular season. I took the time prior to the Celtics Christmas Day game against the Brooklyn Nets to watch the ESPN feature on you and your recovery from heart surgery. I must admit that for the majority of this season I have been nothing...

Rondo, Celtics beat Nets on Christmas

Rajon Rondo scored 19 points in his first full game against Brooklyn this season, and the Boston Celtics beat the Nets 93-76 on Tuesday in another game with some heated moments between the division rivals. Rondo, hurt in the first meeting and thrown out of the second after shoving Nets forward Kris Humphries into the courtside seats, outplayed counterpart Deron Williams and helped...

Celtkicks: Christmas Day kicks

John K. was at yesterday’s Celtics-Nets game and got some great shots of all the Celtkicks. Rajon Rondo’s Nike Air Max Hyperposite was by far the most talked about, and we also saw some sweet kicks from The Truth, Jeff Green and KG. Here are all of John’s pics-big thanks to him and hope you enjoy them. Check back here later for a complete gallery of game photos & GIFs from...

Rondo & KG still projected to start All-Star game after 2nd returns

ESPN Boston: Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo (2nd, Eastern Conference backcourt) and forward/center Kevin Garnett (3rd, frontcourt) maintained their positions in the second returns of balloting for the 2013 NBA All-Start game. Both are on pace to start the 62nd annual game in February in Houston. EASTERN CONFERENCE Frontcourt: LeBron James (Mia) 970,314; Carmelo Anthony...

Brandon Jennings Wanted to Fight Rajon Rondo in Bucks’ Win Over Celtics Friday, But Didn’t Want to Incur Fine

Brandon Jennings and Rajon Rondo likely won’t be exchanging Christmas presents anytime soon, but they were exchanging unpleasentries on Friday night, which almost led to a fight. The Bucks’ point guard said he almost fought Rondo, but had second thoughts because of the fines he would incur. Rondo bumped Jennings during the first quarter, and the two had some words. “It was...

Garnett, Wallace get into shoving match, again (video)

Brooklyn Nets forward Gerald Wallace and Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett received double technical fouls after getting into a scuffle in the fourth quarter of the Celtics' 93-76 victory Tuesday afternoon. Wallace grabbed an offensive rebound and went up for the putback while trailing by 17 points.  He was fouled and got tangled up with Garnett.  He appeared to grab Garnett...

Celtics 93, Nets 76

NEW YORK -- Rajon Rondo keyed a balanced attack with 19 points and rookie Jared Sullinger added 16 points and seven rebounds off the bench, leading the Boston Celtics to a relatively easy 93-76 victory over the Brooklyn Nets in a Christmas Day matinee at Barclays Center. The victory was just the second in the last six games for the Celtics (14-13), who climbed above .500 again...

Celtics-Nets Live: Rajon Rondo, Kris Humphries Unlikely to Renew Acquaintances on Christmas Day

8 a.m. ET: If ESPN tries to play up the angle of Rajon Rondo versus Kris Humphries on Tuesday, go ahead and finish unwrapping your presents, because a repeat of the Nov. 28 fireworks between those two is unlikely. Humphries did not play in the Nets’ last game, a 95-92 win over the Sixers, and he played less than 18 minutes against the Knicks last Wednesday. It appears that getting...

Celtics-Clippers Live: Rajon Rondo, Chris Paul to Face Off in Battle of All-Star Point Guards

8 a.m. ET: The first and second guys atop the NBA’s assist leaderboard will meet up Thursday when Rajon Rondo and the Celtics face off against Chris Paul and the Clippers. The Celtics (14-13) could not be meeting the Clippers (22-6) at a worse time. Coming off a Christmas Day win over the Brooklyn Nets, the Celtics have a smidgen of forward momentum after putt-putting through the...

Bench shakes off the dust as Celtics beat Nets 93-76

Photo credit: www.nba.com A very nice Christmas gift almost turned into nightmare, yet the Celtics turned things around on Rondo's 19-5-5 performance and several key plays as they beat the Nets on the first game of the road trip. It wouldn't be fair to the rest of the team to highlight Rondo though. It was a great team performance as 4 players scored in double digits, and...

Celtics 93, Nets 76: A nice stocking stuffer

For Christmas, at least, the Celtics played well. Jared Sullinger solidified himself as my hero, Rajon Rondo continued to show more aggression as a scorer, Gerald Wallace may or may not have wanted to brawl, Deron Williams (and Joe Johnson) used to be a lot better, and I don’t know if I said this before, but Sullinger’s my hero.I would write more, but I’m going to see Les Miserables...

Jared Sullinger has the best NBA All Star Ballot ever

#NBABallot Kevin Garnett Paul Pierce Rajon Rondo Jason Terry and Jeff Green — Jared Sullinger (@Jared_Sully0) December 26, 2012 I'd say most people probably have Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett on their ballots, but I'm not sure the other three have came up in reports of being high in the voting. Honestly, Paul Pierce deserves to be up there. Either way, this is an awesome...

5 things Celtics must do to win tomorrow

Well, it's taken a long time but we have finally reached Christmas Eve 2012. It's been a crazy holiday season, one that the Celtics shouldn't be proud of. Since the beginning of the holiday season(approximately Nov.22/Thanksgiving), Boston has gone just 7-7. Combine with a 6-6 pre-Thanksgiving record and we are stuck with a .500 basketball team. I expected more, but remember...
