A truly pitiful display by the Celtics. It was a game where the Celtics looked more like a circus act rather than an NBA team. A combo of stone hands, dismal rebounding, and poor offensive execution never bode well, but adding bad officiating to the equation is like drinking gasoline and pissing on a brush fire. And the Celtics had plenty of bad calls and non-calls. While we're on that subject, is Paul Pierce EVER going to get any sort of respect by any officiating crew? Tonight was sort of like the epitome of Paul's career. He is to the NBA what Rodney Dangerfield was to the entertainment world. Anyway, the officiating sucked, and the Celtics lacked any sort of desire, fire or passion for most of the game, getting routinely killed on the glass and to loose balls. And while I love KG, he is clearly not even close to 100%. It's only 10 games in, but I am already getting sick and tired of watching him get beat and out-worked for rebounds. Maybe I'm completely wrong on this, but it sure looks like he has ZERO elevation, or he's scared to leap.Regardless, it's one in the L-column, and I'm actually not all that pissed off about it. NBA officiating is, at best, a joke on a good day. Tonight was no different. As I say in almost every write-up - the Celtics were 27-2 at one point last season. What does that mean now? Exactly. What did we learn? - The Celtics don't always have that "switch" that they can turn on to take over a game and put another team away- NBA officials suck- When Rondo isn't aggressive offensively, the entire offense stalls - I still want to punch Mike Bibby in the face every time I see him- The Celtics had better learn to rebound the friggin ball, or it's going to be another short playoff run - NBA officials suck- Rondo has the ability to take it to the hoop on any given play- Rondo has the ability to miss every jump shot and free-throw that he takes in any given game- Paul Pierce will never get any respect from the officials. Every year we think it'll happen, and every year, we get boned- Marquis Daniels still reminds me of Mikki Moore (no , that's not a good thing) - I still hate ESPN - Hubie Brown needs to come up for air every now and then- NBA officials suck-I am astounded that ESPN didn't work in a LeBron angle at some point during the game The Box Score PlayerMinsFGM/A3FM/AFTM/AOREBDREBT-REBASTPFSTLTOBSBAPTS34Pierce, Paul36:168-160-48-11033210201245Garnett, Kevin33:066-100-02-31452220001443Perkins, Kendrick29:216-120-02-22790404141420Allen, Ray39:325-80-20-0033530200109Rondo, Rajon34:332-40-10-213493130047Daniels, Marquis19:164-60-01-1000130201930Wallace, Rasheed21:303-71-50-0123151130750House, Eddie13:271-50-20-0000011000213Williams, Shelden11:051-40-00-011201110024Giddens, J.R.00:380-00-00-0000000000026Hudson, Lester00:380-10-10-0000000000044Scalabrine, Brian00:380-00-00-00000000000TOTALS:-36-731-1513-196232920236154686PERCENTAGES49.3%6.7%68.4%TEAM REBOUNDS: 9TOTAL TURNOVERS: 15-
