The San Antonio Spurs NBA coaching tree just grew bigger as teams continue to dip into San Antonio's coaching ranks.  The Philadelphia 76ers are set to hire San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Brett Brown as their next head coach according to the New York Daily News. Brown replaces Doug Collins, who was not retained after this past season. Brown was an assistant for the past seven seasons under Gregg Popovich. Before that, he was the Spurs' player development coach for five years. He was also a candidate for the vacant Boston Celtics job to replace Doc Rivers and was up for the Denver job that went to Brian Shaw.   Brown is the second assistant coach to leave the Spurs once the season was over as Mike Budenholzer was the first to depart the Alamo City and become the head coach of the Hawks to replace Larry Drew.   The 76ers got one of the better assistant coaches in the league. He has heading coaching experience with the Australian national team and has learned from the best in the NBA, Gregg Popovich.   Brown and Budenholer add to the list of former players or coaches who has departed to take the reigns of another team. Avery Johnson, PJ. Carlesimo, and Mike Brown are a few of a long list.   What do you think Spurs fans? Here goes another solid coach to another NBA team.
